Bluetooth is named after Viking King Harald “Bluetooth”, known for uniting Denmark and Norway. The name symbolizes connecting devices. The tech was co-developed in Sweden by Ericsson engineers in the 1990s, and the logo uses runes for Harald’s initials.

The Generation that has literally adapted to "CHANGE".

We were born in the 40s-50s-60s.

We grew up in the 50's-60's-70's

We studied in the 60s-70s-80s.

We were together in the 70s-80s-90s.

We got married or not and discovered the world in the 70s-80s-90s.

Adventuring into the 80s - 90s

We're settling in to the 2000s.

We became wiser in 2010s.

And we’re going strong into 2020 and beyond.

Turns out we went through EIGHT different decades...

TWO different centuries...

TWO different millennials...

We've gone from phone with operator for long distance calls, pay booths, video calls worldwide.

We’ve gone from slides to YouTube, vinyls to online music, handwritten letters to emails and Whats App.

Live games on the radio, black and white TV, color TV, then HD 3D TV.

We went to the video store and now watching Netflix.

We've known the first computers, punch cards, disks and now we have gigabytes and megabytes on our smartphones.

We wore shorts all through our childhood, then trousers, ep pants or mini-skirts, Oxfords, Clarks, Palestinian scarves, jumpsuits, and blue jeans.

We avoided childhood paralysis, meningitis, poliomyelitis, tuberculosis, swine flu and now COVID-19.

We've done roller skating, roller skating, tricycle, bicycle, moped, gasoline or diesel and now we drive hybrids or electric.

We played with the little ones

horses and checkers, ostrich and marbles, 1000 threshold and monopoly, now there's candy crush on our smartphones

And we read... much

And our schoolmates religion was not a subject...

We used to drink tap water and lemonade in glass bottles, and the vegetables on our plate were always fresh, today we get meals delivered

Yes, we have been through a lot but what a beautiful life we have had!

They might describe us as “ex-annuals”; people who were born in this 50s world, who had an analog childhood and digital adulthood.

We should add the Biological Revolution that we have witnessed. In 1960, biology was very descriptive. We have witnessed the event of Molecular Biology: the molecules of Life have been discovered: DNA, RNA etc. When you see everything that has come from it: gene therapy, gene fingerprints, and others the progress is considerable.

We kind of have "seen it all"!

Our generation has literally lived and witnessed more than any other in every dimension of life.

This is our generation that has literally adapted to "CHANGE".

A big congratulations to all the members of a very special generation, which will be UNIQUE.. "

Greece Among Best Places to Retire in 2024

Greece has been selected among the top 10 places to retire in 2024 by International Living, a global network of expert expats.

According to the Annual Global Retirement Index, Greece is ranked seventh in the world as it aims to become the Florida of Europe by enticing foreign high-net-worth individuals and pensioners to make the country their home.

International Living says the Index is informed by hundreds of opinions and real-life experiences—or information—compiled by its trusted sources in the best retirement destinations across the globe.

Topping the list is Costa Rica, followed by Portugal and Mexico. Panama, Spain and Ecuador are just above Greece. Malaysia, France and Colombia complete the list of the top countries to retire in 2024.

According to the Index, although the housing market in Greece varies dramatically depending on location and proximity to a city or the sea, prices still fall well below comparable properties in the US.

Housing in Greece has been estimated to be as much as 75 percent lower than US prices. The cost of living in Greece hovers between 30 and 50 percent below the cost of living in the United States, keeping everyday expenses relatively low.

“These stats have retirees, digital nomads, and expats flocking to the sunny skies and blue seas of the Hellenic Republic,” it says.

“Add to that the Golden Visa program, which can still be obtained by spending €250,000 on a property in most of Greece, and you have an interesting mix of foreigners from all over the world looking for their own piece of paradise,” it adds.

The compilers of the Index note that healthcare in Greece requires careful research. Quality doctors and hospital facilities abound, but these are concentrated in the more populated areas. Not every village or island has a hospital or specialists.

To apply for a residence permit, you must prove that you have health insurance coverage in Greece. The wide range of companies and plans available are very reasonable compared to US health coverage costs.

Out-of-pocket expenses are also reasonable compared to the US. For example, a visit to a general practitioner costs approximately $35, specialists $50, a dental cleaning $40, and an eye exam $60. Many people come from abroad for dental work and other procedures that would be prohibitively expensive in their home countries.

In 2022, Greece launched a campaign aimed at retirees tired of colder weather and the high living costs of their home country. The campaign appealed to such a market through its marketing phrase: “Wanna feel 20 again? With warm winter temperatures up to 20C, Greece is the place to be.”

The theatre of Epidaurus represents the finest and best-preserved example of a classical Greek theatre. It was built in 330-20 BC. The theatre is marvelled for its exceptional acoustics. Any sound on the open-air stage, whether a stentorian voice or a whisper, a deep breath or the sound of a match struck is perfectly audible to all spectators, even in the topmost row of seats, that is, nearly 60 m away. Once again in use today, from July until August the ancient monument floods with theatre devotees during the annual summer Festival of Epidaurus
