Yesterday, 8 September, we welcomed clients, partners, industry peers and business leaders to this year's East Capital Group Annual Summit on the 14th floor of Norra Kungstornet in Stockholm with a view that made our theme "Perspectives with a view" feel especially fitting.

A day filled with discussions on emerging markets, macroeconomic trends and where we see the greatest opportunities ahead.

One of the highlights came when our Chairman and Group CIO, Peter Elam Håkansson, put the role of emerging markets into perspective:
💬 "Emerging markets are about 12% of the global index, yet they represent roughly 50% of world GDP, 65% of global GDP growth and 80% of the world's population. So perhaps it's worth allocating a bit more than 12% to emerging markets."

After a week of meetings with 17 companies, local investors, legal experts and political analysts, David Nicholls, CFA, Portfolio Manager, East Capital, shares his latest observations from Brazil.

Idag, torsdag den 11 juni, hade vi på East Capital Group nöjet att välkomna Örjan Berner till en exklusiv författarlunch i våra lokaler på Kungsgatan för ett engagerande samtal om några av vår tids mest avgörande geopolitiska frågor.

Med utgångspunkt i sin senaste bok "Hur krigen slutar - fred och vapenvila under 150 år" delade Örjan med sig av sina perspektiv på krig, fredsförhandlingar, ledarskap och den internationella maktbalansen. Diskussionen kretsade kring både historiska och pågående konflikter, inte minst utvecklingen i Ukraina och Mellanöstern samt vilka lärdomar historien kan erbjuda i en tid präglad av osäkerhet och snabba förändringar.

Samtalet modererades av Peter Elam Håkansson och bjöd på värdefulla insikter från Örjans långa erfarenhet som diplomat och ambassadör i bland annat Sovjetunionen/Ryssland, Tyskland och Frankrike.

Stort tack till Örjan Berner för att han delade med sig av sina kunskaper och erfarenheter och till alla gäster som deltog i dagens lunch.

🎙️ Nytt avsnitt ute nu av Investera med East Capital Group: börserna har utvecklats positivt trots geopolitisk oro – vad väntar investerare nu?
