"Jack McLinden, who has multiple health conditions, experienced joining his heroes on the pitch before their game against Newcastle United on Monday."

We are extremely proud of our portfolio company No Isolation and our entrepreneur Karen Dolva for making dreams like this one possible. Jack McLinden was able to experience watching his team, Everton, play against Newcastle United through an AV1 robot (the game's mascot!).

A camera, microphone and speaker on the Norwegian-made device allowed Jack to experience the thrill of walking on to the Goodison Park pitch in the arms of Phil Jagielka.

Hi! We just got feedback from a parent after speaking with the teacher:

"Spoke to the teacher this evening and asked how she felt AV1 has been going (as she is the teacher who’s been working with AV1).

I could have cried as she said AV1 has helped my daughter to be more confident with her peers. She comes into class now and is chatting more with them, whereas before she wouldn’t. She said AV1 has removed her from isolation, given her a sense of normality when she doesn’t have normality. She said this has been the best impact she has seen and she’s so pleased that AV1 has allowed her to access her education. However, I must say, the social side has been the biggest achievement.

Thank you all. This is a child who does attend school, but I didn’t realize she felt so isolated. She has a group of friends, but now, thanks to the little AV1, her group has grown and so has she (first time in 7 years). M.E. tried to take that away from her but AV1 got her back. "

Looking for a recent graduate with a law degree and interest in finance to join our incredible Haflo team!

Haflo is a Family fund investing in early stage ventures and funds. This year alone our portfolio has grown by more than 10x. Our philosophy is to invest in great people with big dreams, and in order to continue supporting our entrepreneurs, we are looking to add one more member to our team. The ideal candidate is a bright and geo-agnostic individual, educated in law, and interested in finance. The same way we look for our startups, we want to find our next unicorn employee. If you think you are a unicorn in the field of law and like finance, we would love to bring you on board!

We Require:

-Law degree (recent graduate preferable)
-Financial interest
-Fluent in English and one Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish)
-Willing to move with us wherever we go and flexible with travel

Job:

-Manage portfolio with multiple asset classes
-Maintain contact & help management in our portfolio companies and funds
-Participate in board meetings

We want the right person to come on board as soon as possible. Our remuneration package includes a generous bonus and potential for an ownership stake following long-term commitment.
