🌟 Empowering Communities Through Collaboration! 🌟
On June 29, 2026, the AfriSwe Strong Knot Cooperative Society team took a meaningful step forward by visiting Little Explorers Junior School in Nangwa Village, Mukono District!
Our journey reminded us precisely why we do what we do. Along the way, we met Ms. Nakalemba Christine and her 12-year-old son, Kayemba David, a bright young P.3 student currently unable to attend school due to financial constraints. This interaction fueled our determination to build sustainable community models that keep children in classrooms where they belong.
At the school, we were greeted by the wonderful sight of clean, hygienic grounds and energetic pupils staying active during break time. We then held a highly productive, 2.5-hour strategic meeting with the School Director, Mr. Ssentongo Charles, teacher representatives, and leadership from the Parents Association.
Together, we discussed the challenges facing the area—such as localized stone quarrying—and explored exciting, long-term partnerships. The school has expressed a strong interest in joint vocational programs like handmade crafts and bead production, while AfriSwe shared insights on community-led commercial livestock and agricultural project scaling.

By pivoting from temporary relief to long-term economic empowerment engines—like our proposed Sorghum Project model—we aim to transform local parents into active economic stakeholders, ensuring every child can secure a consistent education.
A huge thank you to the management, parents, and pupils of Little Explorers Junior School for the warm welcome! The future is bright when we cooperate for growth. 🤝🌾✨

Today 25th, we had our final evaluation meeting for SES Mission at Ndejje University.

A lot was discussed in accordance to the reports and feed back from the field, shared by the experts and the representative of Ndejje University Mr. Bakawa Christopher.
