In a separate engagement today, our CEO, Ms. Iouanna Pillay, warmly welcomed a high-level two-member delegation from the Russian Embassy, led by the Russian Ambassador to the Seychelles, His Excellency Mr. Kirill Gennadievich Sokolov- Shcherbachev.

This marks the very first diplomatic delegation to visit our CEO since her new appointment in office.

During their tour of the STC Hypermarket, the delegation stopped on several occasions to discuss business opportunities before holding a brief meeting on-site, eager to explore new trading ventures with STC.

Their visit focused on partnering with STC to continue offering the Seychellois people a wide variety of products at affordable prices, while also maintaining consistency in product variety on our shelves.

We look forward to exploring these new partnerships and expanding our offerings to bring even more affordable choices and reliable quality to our shoppers.

It was certainly a busy day all around at STC!

While staff took part in our company clean-up, the Chairman, Mrs Lekha Nair; STC Vice Chairman, Mr Abdul Gafoor Yakub; and Members of the Board of Directors spent the morning touring our core facilities.

The Board visited the main Dry Goods warehouses, the Bakery, and the Cold store; key operational sites where we proudly provide essential services and goods directly to the public.

This timely visit also gave them a great opportunity to connect and engage closely with our hardworking teams on the ground.

As the country's main importer, securing a stable and reliable food supply for the population remains a vital pillar of STC's mandate and commitment to the people, making our focus today all the more meaningful in observance of World Food Day.

Thank you to our Board of Directors for their proactive leadership and dedication, and to all our staff for your continued hard work in serving the community!

Today marked an inspiring morning of team work and community spirit as the entire staff at the STC Head Office rolled up their sleeves for a company-wide clean-up activity!

This successful initiative kicked off with an engaging briefing and official launch by our CEO, Ms.Iouanna Pillay and the Deputy CEO, Mr. Ronny Brutus, setting an energetic tone for the day.

Their hands-on leadership truly motivated everyone to jump right in and make a tangible difference around our workplace and surrounding areas.

We were especially proud and honored to be joined by a dynamic group from the Seychelles People's Defence Forces (SPDF), whose invaluable participation and support greatly boosted our efforts.

This is only the beginning! Today’s initiative serves as phase one of a broader campaign, with clean-up activities continuing in phases across all other STC units.

STC Announces New Leadership Appointments

The Board of the Seychelles Trading Company (STC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Iouana Pillay as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Mr Ronny Brutus as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO), effective today.
Ms Pillay and Mr Brutus were officially introduced by the Vice-Chairperson Mr. Abdul Gafoor Yakub to STC’s Senior Management team.
