Welcome to Bugarura Island, one of the largest islands in Lake Kivu situated just off the shoreline of Rutsiro District. The 250 coffee farmers on the island send just enough coffee across the water to the nearby RTC washing station to produce 1 export container of specialty grade coffee. RTC is proud to train these farmers and share this very important coffee with the world.
