What is EnergyGo?
It’s a Fintech Platform that will help fossil fuel motorists access electric motorcycles without paying any amount upfront and pay back within a year with easy. EnergyGo’s financial strategy is the first of its kind in Africa.

Adoption of any technology is dependent on the attitude of the customer todays that product and the perceived ease of using that product.

There are numerous loan payments strategies in at the moment and the most relevant to electric motorcycles is that of Jali finance. Most of these require a change in behaviors to accommodate the repayment plan.

EnergyGo will redefine the narrative customers will be able to repay their loans will doing what they do normally without a change in behavioral patterns or a new set of actions.

Strength weaknesses opportunities and threats play a crucial role in the success of a business. Rwanda remains one of the most promising locations on the continent to start a project.

One statement from Paul Kagame’s in 2019 that further elucidates Rwanda’s support for clean transportation. I must admit much has improved since 2019. There are over 600 motorcycles in Rwanda right now.

But how about the fossil fuel motorcycles. The UNDP in Rwanda pilot with the mobility transport company showed the green light for retrofitting.

According to The Ministry of Infrastructure in Rwanda vehicles grow at a rate of 12% annually so this means that we would have had over 6000 new fossil fuel motorcycles in Kigali roads since 2019.

We need new e-motos but we also need to take the old fossil fuel motorcycles out of the road.

This is why Rwanda needs EnergyGo. That’s why Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) needs to listen to its youth led organization which has developed the most advanced financial strategy that can eliminate 20k plus fossil motorcycles before 2026.

There are over 100,000 motorcycles in yet less than 10% is electric after 5 since the conversation began. A recent post by a leading electric motorcycle production company is Rwanda was meant to highlight progress but this showed there was a bigger problem considering they have been operating for over 4 years.
