Muganga SACCO Holds its 11th Ordinary General Assembly!

Today, 29 October 2026, Muganga SACCO held its 11th Ordinary General Assembly at Grand Legacy Hotel in Kigali, bringing together delegates and key stakeholders to review institutional performance and discuss priorities for the year ahead.

A key highlight was the SACCO’s commitment to expanding financial inclusion in Rwanda’s health sector. Through its partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Association of Microfinance Institutions in Rwanda (AMIR), Muganga SACCO is extending access to financial services to Community Health Workers (CHWs) and their cooperatives.

The Guest of Honour, Dr. Athanase RUKUNDO, representing the Minister of Health, commended the progress made and encouraged members to sustain their efforts. Emmanuel Usengimana, representing the Rwanda Cooperative Agency (RCA), emphasised the shared responsibility of members and delegates in advancing the cooperative’s mission and vision.

Muganga SACCO remains committed to expanding inclusive financial services and delivering greater value to Rwanda’s health-sector community.

Muganga SACCO today held its 10th Ordinary General Assembly, bringing together member representatives and key stakeholders from across the health sector. The Assembly reviewed 2025 performance, highlighting strong growth.

A key focus was the ongoing enrollment of Community Health Workers, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Rwanda Cooperative Agency (RCA).

The meeting was honored by the presence of Mr. Jean Marie Vianney NDAYIZIGIYE, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health, Republic of Rwanda, who commended the SACCO’s progress and reaffirmed continued support.

The General Assembly adopted key resolutions to strengthen the SACCO and sustain its growth.

Bugesera District hosted the first consultative meeting with Community Health Workers’ cooperatives on their enrollment into Muganga SACCO. The meeting was attended by the Vice Mayor in charge of Social Affairs, Ms. Yvette IMANISHIMWE, as the Guest of Honor.

This marks the beginning of consultations that will be conducted across all 30 districts to expand access to financial services for CHWs.
