Meet TT Commons™ Pro version 4.100—now with support for the Georgian alphabet!

The font based on the Georgian alphabet turned out geometric, yet soft, with compact proportions. The basic font styles look neutral and are perfect for running text, while the bold ones reveal the font's true character. Furthermore, we added a stylistic set with simplified character shapes that will look striking in headlines and logos. We also added the lari and manat currency symbols across all cases.

The capabilities of TT Commons™ Pro are incredibly broad. The typeface is highly recommended for use in web design, apps and print, branding, and packaging design. The Georgian version of the font is perfectly suited for fashionable books and magazines, logos and packaging design, web, and navigation.

TT Commons™ Pro 4.100 includes:

Today, we'd like to dedicate our story to the fleuron and invite you to enjoy the floral motifs in our carousel cards.

A fleuron is a typographic mark that can be used as punctuation—for example, to separate paragraphs—as a bullet point in lists, or simply as a decorative element.

A fleuron represents a stylized flower or leaf, traditionally depicted as an ivy leaf. It is also known as an Aldus leaf, as the symbol was widely popular during the Renaissance, and Robert Bringhurst famously referred to it as a "horticultural dingbat." It can also be called a floral heart or a printers' flower, which is no surprise, since the term originates from the Old French word floron, meaning "flower."

This time, we drew the Georgian language for TT Commons™ Pro! Adding new scripts is generally a very fascinating task, but with Georgian, the experience also became a true challenge. It was vital to us that the geometric nature inherent to TT Commons™ Pro carried over seamlessly into the Georgian alphabet. We communicated extensively with native speakers and consultants to ensure the graphemes looked authentic while still inheriting the overall character of the font, its proportions, and stroke thicknesses. Meet the new TT Dott—an unusual font that redefines pixel aesthetics!

TT Dott is a display pixel grotesque. It is an experimental project created within our Creative Lab. The idea was to use a circle instead of a square as the base for the pixel, and to experiment with character shapes. We wanted to move away from the usual association with a pixel font—static and mechanistic—and make something completely different: streamlined, lively, and rhythmic. That's why TT Dott turned out fluid and warm, evoking associations with embroidery, knitting, and techno parties all at the same time.

TT Dott is an accent font that works best in large sizes. It is suitable for exhibition and festival design, branding, and packaging. It can be used to add brightness and distinctiveness to a project, and in some cases, it harmoniously fits into an ethnic theme.
