CyberCon Romania 2025 brought together experts, researchers, and institutions to explore the latest challenges and solutions in cybersecurity.

Here are some key highlights from this year’s edition:
- International recognition: the only regional conference awarded with the Cyber Outstanding Security Performance Awards
- Prestigious venue: hosted at the Representation of the European Commission in Romania
- Diverse participation: 90 attendees from law enforcement, government, private companies, academia, and civil society
- Expert contributions: 20 speakers and keynote guests shared insights, case studies, and best practices
- Scientific impact: IC3, the scientific core of the conference, featured 14 peer-reviewed papers published in the 2025 proceedings

The three main sections focused on:
- Cybersecurity skills and education
- Public–private cooperation
- AI-driven defence against cybercrime

💡 This groundbreaking initiative, 'Strengthening Synergies in Defence and Civilian Cybersecurity' aims to strengthen synergies in defence and civilian sectors to create a unified and resilient cybersecurity framework for Europe.

🚀 is set to last for 24 months and is a €2.5M effort led by the Constanta Maritime University through its CYBERSECURITY CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE and funded by the European Commission under the Programme.
