Power International Holding, alongside the Syrian Petroleum Company and Chevron, signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Damascus to launch Syria’s first offshore fields exploration initiative—marking an important step in the development of the country’s offshore oil and gas sector.

The MoU establishes a structured platform for collaboration, information exchange, and preliminary technical and commercial evaluation of defined offshore areas, supporting early exploration planning and data review.

The signing took place in the presence of Thomas Barrack, US Special Envoy to Syria; Khalifa Abdullah Saad Al Mahmoud Al Sharif, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Syria; Mr. Mohammad Al Bashir Bazar, Minister of Energy; Moutaz Al Khayyat, Chairman of PIH Holding; and Ramez Al Khayyat, President group CEO of PIH.

وقّعت باور انترناشيونال القابضة، إلى جانب الشركة السورية للنفط وشركة شيفرون الأمريكية، مذكرة تفاهم في دمشق لإطلاق أول مبادرة لاستكشاف الحقول البحرية في سوريا، في خطوة مهمة نحو تطوير قطاع النفط والغاز البحري في البلاد.
