Ghanim Bin Saad Al Saad & Sons Group (“GSSG”), a leading Qatar-based diversified business conglomerate, and Sirti, Italy's leading technology company in the design and implementation of network infrastructures and system integration, announced today in Doha the signing of a joint venture agreement, establishing “Sirti MENA for Projects”. GSSG will hold a 51% stake in the joint venture company, while Sirti will hold the remaining 49% stake.

The landmark joint venture partnership with GSSG will significantly broaden Sirti’s regional potential across the GCC, North Africa and Levant region. Sirti MENA for Projects will focus its activities on the development of infrastructure for telecommunication networks – fixed and mobile - power transmission systems, security systems, integrated systems for transportation businesses, system integration in ICT businesses and smart cities solutions.

The partnership unites the technical expertise and international experience of Sirti with the regional strength and reach of GSSG in the MENA region, emanating from its home base Qatar. The joint venture company will pursue project opportunities in GCC countries Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait, in addition to Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria.

Commenting on the partnership, Chairman of GSSG Holdings Qatar, Mohammed Al Hamadi, stated: "We are pleased to be partnering with Sirti, internationally-renowned for spearheading innovative and critical projects around the world. Qatar and UK-based business aviation Services Company Rizon Jet, a subsidiary of Ghanim bin Saad al Saad & Sons Group Holdings (GSSG), has inaugurated its VIP terminal in Doha in a VIP and media event on March 11, 2012. The inauguration was under the patronage of H.E. Abdul Aziz bin Mohamed Al Noaimi, Chairman of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.

The event was attended by Mr. Ghanim bin Saad Al Saad, The Founder of Ghanim bin Saad Al Saad & Sons Group Holding (GSSG), Mr. Mohammed Hassan Al-Hamadi, Chairman, GSSG Holdings, Mr. Ibrahim Fakhroo, Group CEO, GSSG Holdings, Captain Hassan Al Mousawi, CEO, Rizon Jet, officials from both companies and VIP guests.

Present in the event as well was Mr. Khader Mattar, Regional Vice-President, Sales, Middle East, India And Africa Bombardier Business Aircraft, who represented Bombardier to show its support to Rizon Jet.

The ceremony began with an official ribbon cutting by H.E. Abdul Aziz bin Mohamed Al Noaimi and Mr. Ghanim bin Saad Al Saad, marking the opening of the new VIP terminal. Guests were then given a tour of the building, including the lavish private aviation lounge which carters for all business and VIP travelers' needs. The tour continued with a behind the scenes look at the hanger and state-of-the art service facilities. Guests then had the opportunity to board one of the company’s aircraft and experience the unique Rizon Jet flight experience.

Rizon Jet has extended the range of aircraft services offered, and has secured approvals for the management and maintenance of a number of new aircraft models. Ghanim bin Saad al Saad Group Holdings organized an Eid Fun Day event for the children of Dhreima on November 9th, fourth day of Eid Al Adha al Mubarak.

The event was held at the Aljazeera Academy, a school operated by Ta’alum Group, a subsidiary of GSSG.

Together with 60 children from Dhreima, GSSG employees and their families shared the event and enjoyed the numerous activities, which included several huge bouncy castles, football competition, face painting, games and much more.

“This event is part of GSSG’s ongoing commitment towards helping the more vulnerable members of society,” said Mr. Ibrahim Fakhroo , GCEO of GSSG. “It is our duty to support the organizations in Qatar that help people, especially children. This is only the first of many events we plan to hold in the future for similar organizations.” Mr. Fakhroo added.

Dhreima is a Qatar orphan foundation dedicated to looking after vulnerable children in Arab countries. It aims to provide integrated Islamic systems of care and shelter for orphans with an emphasis on family development and social solidarity.

GSSG’s (Ghanim bin Saad al Saad and Sons Group Holdings) “Barmagiah” announced today a cooperation between the holdings group and the college of North Atlantic in training IT students in its premises. The training program is designed to provide students with hand on experience in working in large corporations with a wide range of specialties in Qatar. The main aim of this program is to prepare IT students to the future working atmosphere and to help them further and develop their technology skills competencies.
“Today’s university graduates find it very challenging to enter the professional world after graduation. We would like to reach out to these students and help them to make their transition from student’s life into the work environment a smooth one.” Said Mr. Ibrahim yousif Fakhro, group chief executive officer of GSSG.
“It is the responsibility of the private sector to participate efficiently in the development of the young generation. 80% of Salam Media Cast, a leading provider of Media solutions. Salam Media cast
specializes in the provision of telecommunications, broadcasting, integrated systems and
technologically advanced security solutions in the Gulf Region and beyond. With the
addition of Salam Media Cast to the established Media Group, a subsidiary of Ghanim Bin
Saad Al Saad and Sons Holding Company (GSSG), Media Group will be able to facilitate high
quality media services and production throughout the region.
