PMC - Portfolio Management Club

Portfolio Management Club is a student organization at Nova SBE that holds and manages a portfolio of financial assets. Membership is highly selective.

Portfolio Management Club (PMC) is a Portuguese student-led initiative created at Nova SBE. The club was formed by undergraduate students that seek to extend Nova SBE's excellence in its Msc of Finance to the undergraduate program. With the addition of some new faces, we are eager to see what this group of people will be able to put together. We have nothing but high hopes for this semester’s team!

Last Wednesday, we held a learning session that was intended especially for our new members.

PMC sought to assist our new members in becoming acquainted with the club's activities and procedures. Our former members also provided numerous hints and advancements.

We discussed several subjects, including the initial steps of a stock pitch.

This was a wonderful chance to learn and reinforce certain concepts.

Today, we will let you know a little bit more about Andreia Pimenta, our head of macro!

She has shown to be a valuable asset to the club. Having joined PMC as a Freshman, Andreia became the Head of the Macro Team two semesters ago, proving that Commitment, Hard-Work and Leadership are worth more than age at PMC!

Today we will let you know a little more about the division that has grown the most in our club.
We can sum up the quantitative division in two words: programming and finance.

This is the division for you if you are passionate about programming, financial markets, statistics, and the use of all these knowledge to address and reverse financial trends.

However, you shouldn't disregard the benefits this work can provide, like the chance to grow your programming abilities, problem-solving abilities, web development capabilities, data science, GitHub and SQL (Structure Query Language).

As a member of an investment team, you will be able to thoroughly analyze and pitch investment ideas to club. You will work in teams to develop and present your investment pitches to the committee and engage in discussions about them.

With the beginning of a new semester, we want to start in the best way by giving you the chance to become a member of our outstanding team.
Portfolio Management Club, a Nova University Club, formed by master's and bachelor's level students maintains a portfolio of assets. We are divided into three primary groups: the Investment, Macro, and Quant group divisions, which are currently accepting applications.
If you are a dedicated worker with an inquisitive mind who is passionate about macroeconomics and finance, PMC is the right club for you! You will become actively involved in asset management while interacting with people from various backgrounds and areas of interest from which you can learn from.
