Recent storms have caused increased damage to vehicles, particularly to glass. For this reason, Fidelidade Seguros introduced an additional exceptional support measure.

If you have Isolated Glass Breakage cover in your Motor insurance policy, it will now include damage to vehicle glass caused by natural phenomena, even when there is other damage to the vehicle.

The repair or replacement of the glass must be carried out exclusively within Fidelidade’s approved repair network: Glassdrive, Carglass, Expressglass, Glassback, and Newcar.

As tempestades recentes têm provocado mais danos nos carros, em particular nos vidros. Por essa razão, aplicámos mais uma medida excecional de apoio. Se tem cobertura de Quebra Isolada de Vidros no seu seguro Auto, esta passa a abranger danos em vidros causados por fenómenos da natureza, mesmo quando existam outros danos no veículo.

A reparação ou substituição dos vidros deve ser realizada exclusivamente na rede de prestadores convencionados da Fidelidade: Glassdrive, Carglass, Expressglass, Glassback e Newcar.

Getting flooded with requests from people worried about a health insurance they have that's announced a 60% increase (no connection to ourselves) and of course people are desperately seeking an alternative. Just to answer a few questions to help put people's minds to rest:
1. Yes we have alternatives, from Multicare, MGEN and MEDIS. (all can be monthly payments)
2. Pre-existing health issues, indeed we have a solution via MGEN. Anything that needs pre-approval related to pre-existing health issues is not covered in 1st year (surgery for example if related to pre-existing but consultations etc are of course covered)
3. Easy to switch over, you have no obligation to renew or give notice, just don't pay for 2024. Waiting periods can be removed if you can get a declaration from the previous insurance company stating your insurance has been cancelled along with a copy of the coverage on the contract.(available after cancelation)
4. The networks for these 3 companies are massive so no need to go out of network and submit refunds, just pay your co-pay, stress free.
5. Yes we have a solution for over 70's

It is no longer mandatory to display the label/stamp on the windscreen proving the existence of compulsory motor vehicle liability insurance, since last Tuesday, July 11.

Thus, fines for not fixing this label are no longer applied.

We remind you that drivers of vehicles, while circulating on public roads, must be accompanied by the following documents:

- Personal identification document (identity card or citizen card/passport);

- Driving licence;
- Insurance certificate;
- Title of ownership of the vehicle or equivalent document;
- Vehicle identification document;
- Periodic vehicle inspection form, when mandatory under legal terms".
