JICA Alumni Organized Blood Donation Campaign in Gaza to Mark World Blood Donor Day 2026
بتاريخ 15 حزيران 2026 – بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للتبرع بالدم، نظمت جمعية خريجي جايكا في فلسطين حملة للتبرع بالدم في غزة تحت الشعار العالمي: "قطرة واحدة من الإنسانية.. تبرع بالدم، أنقذ الأرواح." وقد نُظِّمت الحملة بالشراكة مع بنك الدم المركزي واللجنة الشعبية للاجئين في مخيم الشاطئ، وبمشاركة ممثلين عن مكتب جايكا في غزة، ومنظمة الصحة العالمية، وجمعية الهلال الأحمر الفلسطيني.
تم إجراء الفحوصات الطبية اللازمة لاختيار المتبرعين المؤهلين للتبرع بالدم. ومن أصل 82 فحصًا أُجريت، استوفى 37 متبرعًا فقط المعايير الدولية للتبرع. أما بقية المتبرعين فقد كانت مستويات الحديد لديهم أقل من الحد المسموح به، وهو ما يُعد نتيجة مؤسفة للأوضاع الصحية والمعيشية السيئة وسوء التغذية التي يعاني منها سكان قطاع غزة.
تأتي هذه المبادرة استجابةً للنداءات المتكررة من مستشفيات قطاع غزة وبنك الدم المركزي فيها، والتي تشير إلى أن مخزون الدم لا يزال منخفضًا بشكل حرج بسبب الأزمة الإنسانية المستمرة، والعدد الكبير من حالات الإصابات، والطلب المتزايد على الخدمات الجراحية والطبية الطارئة، بالإضافة إلى نفاد كميات من عدة فصائل دم.
On 15 June 2026 – On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, JICA Alumni Association in Palestine organized a blood donation campaign in Gaza under the global theme “One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives.” The campaign was organized in partnership with the Central Blood Bank and the Popular Committee for Refugees in Al-Shati Camp and was attended by representatives of JICA office in Gaza, World Health Organization (WHO), and the Palestinian Red Cresent Society (PRCS).
The necessary medical examinations were conducted to select donors fit for blood donation. Out of 82 tests performed, only 37 donors met international standards for donation. The remaining donors had iron levels below the permissible limit, a regrettable consequence of the poor health, living conditions, and malnutrition suffered by the people of the Gaza Strip.
The initiative comes in response to repeated appeals by Gaza hospitals and the Central Blood Bank in Gaza, which report that blood supplies remain critically low due to the ongoing humanitarian crisis, the large number of trauma cases, and the high demand for surgical and emergency services and the depletion of supplies of several blood groups.
