The word Forus means jobs in Arabic. The word Sifer in Arabic means zero. Zero (Sifer) Kilometer is the exact location from which distances are traditionally measured, and so we look forward to becoming a starting point for young graduated Palestinians looking for jobs in their field of studies. Unfortunately, the complicated political situation in the West Bank and Gaza prevents thousands of youn
g professionals from entering the narrow Palestinian labor market. We want to start a change by introducing alternatives to traditional desk jobs, in the form of freelance jobs. Palestinians will be able to connect with companies abroad, work for them from home while growing their experience and career. We hope that this form of work will bring financial stability, independence and most importantly, a sense of purpose and satisfaction. The jobs depend on each person's skills, abilities, and interests. The contracts are handled directly with the employers. Through workshops and online communication, we offer know-how on preparing for job interviews, improving resume/CV, better presenting oneself and more. The founders Ashraf Akram and Noa Radosh strongly believe that providing professional opportunities to the future generation of Palestinian leaders can have a long-lasting impact on the economy and society.
