تأسست جمعية تراثنا الاصيل للمرأة عام 2008 بمبادرة من مجموعة من النساء المتطوعات للعمل على حفظ التراث الفلسطيني وحمايته من الضياع ومحاولات تغييره وطمسه من قبل الاحتلال، وكان ذلك من خلال ربط هذه الفكرة بالمستوى المعيشي والاقتصادي الذي يمر به شعبنا الفلسطيني.
وكان لذلك الاثر الكبير في دفع هذه الطليعة النسوية الى تأسيس الجمعية واطلاق هذا الاسم (الاصيل) تأكيداً منهن على أن هذا الاسم لن يكون بشكل من الا
شكال مجرد اسم يضاف على لائحة اسماء الجمعيات في هذه المحافظة.
وبجهود مضنية وبعمل دؤوب ومتواصل استطاعت مجموعة مكونة من سبع نساء قياديات في هذه المحافظة وفي مقدمتهن السيدة منى مطر، انطوانيت عطوان وكفاح اسعد بتأسيس الهيئة الإدارية الأولى وهي الآن تضم أكثر من سبعين عضو هيئة عامة.
ولقد استطاعت وخلال فترة قصيرة ان تفتح العديد من ابواب الرزق للعائلات ذات الدخل المحدود وذلك من خلال تشغيل النساء في حفظ الأغذية التراثية وتسويقها في الاسواق المحلية مثل حفظ الزيتون والملبن وغيرها من الأغذية التراثية الخالية من المواد الحافظة حيث استطعن ان ينشرن الوعي في الاوساط النسائية على مخاطر تلك المواد والحافظة وما تشكله من خطر على الصحة العامة.
اما في مجال اعمال التطريز والحياكة البيتية فقد كان لهن الدور الكبير في تنظيم دورات تدريبية للنساء بإشراف أخصائيين وأخصائيات لنشر ثقافة اهمية الحفاظ على التراث الفلسطيني وفي كافة المستويات وبخاصة أعمال التطريز التي تعكس الصورة الثقافية والحضارية لشعبنا.
حيث ان هذا الجانب من مخزوننا الثقافي والحضاري يتعرض لهجمة شرسة من قبل الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في المحطات والمنابر الدولية التي تعنى في الشؤون الحضارية والثقافية لشعوب العالم، كما ان الجمعية تنظم العديد من دورات الوعي المجتمعي والصحي والثقافي.
ومن خلال برنامج تشغيل النساء استطعن ان يصدرن الكثير من اعمال التطريز اليدوية الى الخارج وللجاليات الفلسطينية خاصة في الولايات المتحدة، كما وتستقبل الجمعية المتطوعين للعمل معها داخل الجمعية ومن خارج البلاد.
وتطمح الجمعية بنظرة مستقبلية لفتح معرض دائم يحتوي على منتجات الجمعية وكذلك شراء سيارة خاصة بالجمعية، إلا أن الجمعية بأمس الحاجة ليد العون حتى تستطيع ان تكمل مشوارها في تحقيق اهدافها الخيرية
"Original Heritage Association for Woman" was established in 2008 with the effort of a group of women in an effort to preserve the Palestinian heritage from being lost, and from being altered due to the occupation. This was done by connecting this idea with the Palestinian people's standard of living, which had a great effect on pushing this feminist forefront to establish this society, labeling it "authentic" assuring that this society will not simply be another society that's added to a list of societies in this province. And so with strenuous effort and continuous hard work, a group of seven women in leadership positions were able to form the administrative body of this society. This group included in the lead Muna Mattar, Antoinette Atwan, and Kifah Asa'd, and now consists of seventy members in the general body. The society was able within a short period of time of opening many doors of financial opportunities for families with low income. This was done through providing work for women in producing naturally preserved foods such as olives, and yoghurts, and other cultural foods. Furthermore the society was able to help spread awareness on the harm of unnatural preservatives, and their dangers on health. In the field of embroidery and knitting, the society was able to produce a few workshops under the supervision of specialists, to help spread the importance of keeping these professions in order to preserve the Palestinian culture, and help spread awareness on our people's civilization. This is important as Palestinian culture and civilization is often viciously attacked by the occupation in the media worldwide, and so the society arranges many workshops in an effort to raise societal and cultural awareness, Cancer awareness among woman and youth, Children right and abuse awareness between families and mothers. Through the societies different program, they have been able to produce many products that are exported the Palestinian areas oversees, such as the United States,Jordan and Lebanon. The society's doors are always open for volunteers welling to help with our Youth Programs, such as language courses, cross culture courses, etc ; whether inside the Palestinian territories or outside. The society has the ambitions of opening a gallery in the future with all its products, furthermore they are hoping to purchase a special car for the society. Unfortunately the society at the moment is in need of help in order to keep moving to achieve their charitable goals.
