State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC), the leading life and health insurer in Pakistan, has entered a strategic partnership with Daman Investments (DI) Dubai, a preeminent regional investment firm known for its comprehensive suite of non-banking financial services. This new partnership will facilitate the collaborative development of tailored client solutions that align with and support the growth strategies of both DI and SLIC.

We are delighted to announce that the Sindh Police has entered into a MoU with State Life to provide health insurance coverage to over 127,000 police personnel and their dependents. The signing ceremony took place at the Police Headquarters in Karachi, graced by Honourable Chief Minister Sindh, Mr. Murad Ali Shah, Honourable Home Minister, Mr. Zia UL Hassan Lanjar, Honourable IGP Sindh, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Memon, and CEO of SLIC, Mr. Shoaib Javed Hussain. The agreement was signed by DIG Establishment, Mr. Naeem Sheikh, and Executive Director of SLIC, Dr. Aftab Imam.

Mr. Ghulam Nabi Memon, IG Sindh, emphasized, "This partnership highlights the indispensable role of our police officers in maintaining public safety and security. It is imperative that the dedicated men and women police officers have access to comprehensive health insurance coverage, ensuring their well-being as they bravely perform their critical duties. Because those who protect us deserve nothing less than the very best protection."

Mr. Shoaib Javed Hussain, CEO of SLIC, added, "Our mission is to extend the benefits of protection and well-being to every section of society. Providing financial and health protection to the brave officers of Sindh Police, who tirelessly ensure our safety, is a matter of immense pride for us. Their health and well-being are paramount, and through this collaboration, we are dedicated to serving our brave police force with best-in-class health solutions as they protect us by serving on the front lines.”

Under this initiative, each family will receive health insurance coverage worth PKR 1 million per annum, covering inpatient hospitalization and OPD services. Additionally, families can avail of cashless inpatient health services at over one thousand empanelled private and public hospitals across Pakistan. To facilitate a smooth transition and utilization of these benefits, State Life will conduct awareness sessions for Sindh Police employees, ensuring they are well-informed about the procedures involved.

Pakistan Embassy UAE and Honorable Pakistan Ambassador, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, shed light on the importance of State Life Insurance Corporation’s immigrant insurance schemes for overseas Pakistanis. He remarked, "State Life's insurance policies are crucial for our overseas community, providing them with the necessary financial protection. Renewing these policies is vital to ensure their well-being and future."

Shoaib Javed Hussain, CEO of SLIC stated, “Our focus is to engage with the Pakistani diaspora in UAE, especially our countrymen working as immigrant labour force to spread awareness and information of their benefits and protection under the immigrant insurance provided by SLIC. To achieve this, we will conduct awareness campaigns in the labour camps in Abu Dhabi to better understand their needs so we may serve them better. Together with Minhajul Quran University in Lahore, State Life's Health and Accident Insurance Corporate Team organized a significant event aimed at raising awareness about female cancer, emphasizing the crucial role of empowering women through financial literacy, enablement, and protection.

The seminar featured speakers, including Professor Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shahzad, Vice-Chancellor of Minhaj University Lahore, and notable oncologists such as Professor Dr.Amjad Zafar, Dr.Hafsa Naseer, and gynaecologist Dr. Madeeha Zeshan, alongside Dr Noor Ul Haq, SLIC Regional Chief and Dr. Iqra Tariq, SLIC Corporate Health Officers. They delivered impactful keynote speeches and conducted informative sessions covering essential topics like breast, cervical, and ovarian cancer in addressing the escalating cancer rates among women in Pakistan, which currently rank among the highest in South Asia.
