Lemmens Home was established in 1981 when Sr. Gertrude Lemmens, founder of Dar ul Sukun, recognized a pressing need to provide shelter and support for girls from broken and vulnerable family backgrounds. This vision led to the creation of Lemmens Home, a dedicated branch of Dar ul Sukun committed to supporting socially displaced girls. Located in Muslimabad, Karachi, Lemmens Home has been thoughtf
ully renovated and developed to provide a secure, healthy, and nurturing residential environment. Under the care of sisters and trained female staff, the girls receive safety, access to education and schooling, emotional support, and opportunities for personal growth and development. Our mission is to equip these girls with the skills, confidence, and values necessary to lead independent and dignified lives. Over the years, many have pursued education and careers in various fields, while others have gone on to build stable family lives through marriage, becoming confident, self-reliant women who contribute to society. Lemmens Home is more than a shelter; it is a place of healing, hope, and new beginnings. As a project of Dar ul Sukun Welfare Society, we remain committed to providing a supportive community where girls can heal, learn, and thrive with dignity and respect.
