I have handed over the charge of Micro & Agri Credit Department to Credit Management Division since Feb.1st.2017. Since then i am looking after the Micro and Agri Recovery Department at Special Assets Management Division . But still as my love to Micro and Agri businesses promotion we shall keep sharing good news in the industry in this regard.Best of luck to all..

Mr.Mudassar Niaz Abassi, an Officer from Micro and Agri Credit Department CMD visited some beneficiaries of BAJK Micro Credit scheme operational in partnership with Azad Jammu & Kashmir Rural Support Programme (AJKRSP). He finds that all the micro credit beneficiaries he visited are utilizing micro financing facility appropriately and for productive purposes. He finds that all the beneficiaries identified by AJKRSP belong to low income groups and are struggling to reduce their poverty levels through joining AJKRSP community mobilisation programme. Agribusiness Project of the Department of Agriculture AJK successfully almost completed its targets for the number of farmers selection and identification an d recommendation to Bank of AJK for availing financing facility under the MOU signed in 2013. The facility has enabled around 724 farmers from all districts of AJK to avail Agricultural loans from the Bank of AJK. The department of Agriculture is re-reimbursing the mark up amount to all respective farmers under the scheme. So far the department of Agriculture has re-imbursed mark up amount of around Rs. 11. Million to various farmers under the scheme. On the hand under the scheme the Bank of AJK has financed around 724 farmers for a total loan amount of around Rs. 164 Million under this highly productive scheme of the Govt.of. AJK .

W***y Kirwa became a dairy farmer in 2005 after having had little success growing crops. A farmer from Kapseret Ward in Western Kenya, he started out this new venture with two dairy cows and a lot of determination.

And through an IFAD-supported programme, he gained two other important ingredients of success as well: finance and knowledge.
