Al-Mawakhat Microfinance celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with a special cake-cutting ceremony at its office. The premises were beautifully decorated in the national colors, reflecting the spirit of unity, pride, and patriotism.

The cake-cutting ceremony was attended by the leadership of Al-Mawakhat Community Lending (AMCL), coming together to commemorate the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan and reaffirm their commitment to contributing towards a stronger and more prosperous nation.

Strengthening Operations, Compliance, and Institutional Governance

A productive Operations and Compliance Coordination Meeting was held at Al-Mawakhat Microfinance Company Limited (AMCL) under the chair of the General Manager.

The meeting was attended by the Company Secretary, Operations Manager, Compliance Manager, and relevant team members. Key discussions focused on strengthening internal controls, improving operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing coordination among departments.

The participants also reviewed existing procedures, identified areas for improvement, and discussed practical measures to promote accountability, transparency, and effective service delivery.

AMCL remains committed to maintaining strong governance standards and developing an efficient, compliant, and sustainable operational framework.

Representatives of Al Mawakhat Microfinance Company Limited (AMCL), Ms. Anmol Saleem (Senior Compliance Officer) and Mr. Zubair Ahmed (Admin & Risk Officer), participated in the four-day Exposure Visit & Executive Training on Islamic Finance and Shariah-Compliant Microfinance Operations, held in Lahore from 9–12 June 2026.

The training brought together professionals from the microfinance sector to discuss operational practices, compliance requirements, risk management, and developments in Islamic microfinance.

We were privileged to welcome Mr. Shaukat Javed (Former IGP Punjab , DG Intelligence Beureau & Member Public Service Commission - Home Minister and distinguished Humphrey Fellow) to the AMCL office.

He was welcomed by our senior leadership, including Syed Tanweer Abbas Tabish (Independent Director), Dr. Muhammad Saleem Ashraf (General Manager), Mr. Amjad Ali (Company Secretary), and Mr. Zahid Saddique (Operations Manager).

His exemplary services in public administration and policing continue to inspire professionals nationwide. The AMCL team had an incredibly enriching interaction with him, gaining valuable insights on leadership and growth.
