The Ambassador of Austria to Pakistan, H.E. Wolfgang Oliver Kutschera, visited Minhaj University Lahore, where he was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Deputy Chairman Board of Governors; and Founder & CEO of Al-Mawakhat Micro Finance Limited; Prof. Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shahzad, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Khurram Shahzad, Registrar; and Dr. Yasir Ali Khan, Head of the School of Political Science & History.
The distinguished guest toured various academic departments, research centers, and administrative facilities of the university, including the Ibn Sina Digital Robotic Library & Resource Center, Shaykh-ul-Islam Institute of Spiritual Studies, the Department of Religion & Philosophy, and state-of-the-art laboratories across different faculties. The Ambassador appreciated the university’s advanced infrastructure and academic environment, describing it as aligned with international standards.
An exclusive meeting was later held between H.E. Wolfgang Oliver Kutschera and Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. Detailed discussions took place regarding future academic partnerships, research collaboration, and joint educational initiatives. Both sides also explored avenues for institutional development and international academic exchange to strengthen educational ties.
An interactive session was also conducted with faculty members, focusing on academic excellence, institutional growth, and mutual areas of cooperation. The Ambassador appreciated the scholarly contributions and professional engagement of the faculty, while both sides discussed opportunities to further enhance academic linkages.
The visit concluded with a special lunch hosted in honor of the Ambassador by Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. The lunch was attended by deans and faculty members from various departments. In a cordial atmosphere, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening academic relations and promoting future collaboration.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chairman Board of Governors presented a commemorative shield to the Ambassador. The visit was described as highly productive and a significant step toward expanding international academic engagement and cooperation.
