Shajar-e-Umeed is a community which through due diligence identifies different social causes in society and, through its entrepreneurial projects aims to make actionable changes in society. Shajar-e-Umeed is a venture of social entrepreneurial projects initiated by students of management sciences at FAST-NU, Lahore. These projects are part of their Entrepreneurship course, developed by their instr
uctor Mr Shahid Malik. From taking on a project in the education sector by working with under privileged students to collaborating with NGOs, Civil society and educational institutions Shajar-e-Umeed has been successful in making its mark. Team Shajar-e-Umeed is now even more determined with a strong resolution to help the marginalized, ignored and under privileged communities. After successfully initiating and completing our project in the education sector for the underprivileged students “TEAM SHAJAR-E-UMEED” is branching out to bigger and better social causes. This year Team Shajar-e-Umeed has identified three causes and will contribute through its social entrepreneurial ventures to contribute towards the following causes:
• Transgender community
• Old age homes
• Orphaned Children
Under Shajar-e-Umeed we will be perusing the following areas progressively:
• Consulting services for social causes
• Collaboration with civil society, NGOs, educational institutions, public & private sector
• Starting Entrepreneurial ventures
After Conducting a thorough analysis and research Team Shajar-e-Umeed will identify the needs of the under privileged communities in our society and will address them through different entrepreneurial ventures. These entrepreneurial ventures will be launched as pilot projects and eventually will branch out into scale up and large scale projects. Apart from building up the businesses, startups, will be directly involved in Social causes and will activate actionable activities towards those causes. Our expertise are in the following areas:

• Proper utilization of funds/financial feasibility

• Capacity building
