GoldFin is the pioneering NBFC in Pakistan that serves as the strategic platform to offer gold-backed financing (GBF) as part of its organic business and also facilitates the partners banks / FIs to acquire GBF on their own balance sheet. This unique business model is focussed on leveraging the intrinsic value of gold as collateral; effectively reducing credit risk while offering accessible financing solutions to individuals and enterprise clients. With over 24 years of leadership experience in banking, fintech and digital financial services, Mr. Kabeer is widely recognized for transforming financial institutions and driving financial inclusion to empower the underserved communities. As the President & CEO of U Microfinance Bank, he was awarded the Global 3G (Cambridge IFA) Best Emerging Leader in the Corporate Sector 2021. He held the distinction as the Chairman of Pakistan Microfinance Network (PMN) and presently he is the Entrepreneur in Residence at Abhi Fintech UAE. He led the landmark acquisition and transformation of FINCA Microfinance Bank into Abhi Microfinance Bank. He equally enjoys professional interaction at the global level and has been an avid representative of the microfinance on the sidelines of Davos Economic Forum -Switzerland.
His expertise in governance, finance, risk, digital strategy and turnaround management will significantly strengthen GoldFin’s pursuit to responsible scale-up and setting up new industry benchmarks.
