gold may seek a support at $1,305 per ounce, to hover above this level or rebound moderately to a resistance at $1,313, as it has completed a rebound from the Aug. 1 low of $1,280.40.

The support and the resistance are identified respectively as the 38.2 percent and the 50 percent Fibonacci retracements on the fall from the July 10 high of $1,345 to $1,280.40.

A break below the support will open the way towards the 23.6 percent level at $1,296, while a break above the resistance may trigger a further gain to $1,320, the 61.8 percent level.
