The ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification is a globally recognized accounting certification. Here's a typical roadmap for completing the ACCA qualification:
Foundation Level: If you do not have any previous qualifications, you can start at the Foundation level. This consists of a set of exams that provide a solid grounding in the basics of accounting and finance.
Applied Knowledge Level: This is the next stage and consists of three exams: Accountant in Business (AB), Management Accounting (MA), and Financial Accounting (FA). These exams build on the foundation level and provide a more in-depth understanding of accounting principles.
Applied Skills Level: After completing the Applied Knowledge exams, you move on to the Applied Skills level. This stage consists of six exams, covering more advanced topics such as taxation, audit, and financial management.
Strategic Professional Level: The final stage of the qualification, the Strategic Professional level, consists of two essential exams: Strategic Business Leader (SBL) and Strategic Business Reporting (SBR), and two optional exams from a choice of four. These exams focus on developing strategic management and leadership skills.
Practical Experience Requirement (PER): In addition to passing the exams, you must also complete three years of relevant work experience, known as the Practical Experience Requirement (PER).
Ethics and Professional Skills Module: Before or after completing the exams, you must complete the Ethics and Professional Skills Module, which helps you develop the professional skills required of an accountant.
Professional Ethics Module: Finally, you must complete the Professional Ethics Module to demonstrate your understanding of and commitment to ethical behavior.
It's important to note that the exact requirements and structure of the ACCA qualification may vary depending on your country or region. You should consult with ACCA or a registered tuition provider for the most up-to-date information.
