We expect the market will consolidate today, as valuations appear stretched and investors are cautious about committing further capital without fresh catalysts. On the economic front, As widely anticipated, the Monetary Policy Committee of the SBP has decided to keep the policy rate unchanged at 11 percent, citing the adverse impact of recent floods on the near-term macroeconomic outlook. Moreover, Pakistan’s fragile economy has been dealt a severe setback as the 2025 monsoon floods leave behind destruction on a massive scale, causing nearly USD2 billion in damages to agriculture and infrastructure while threatening the country’s GDP growth, inflation outlook, and external account stability.
