PMIC is proud to be an active part of this week's Champions of Change Coalition training on Leading Inclusively in the Age of AI, delivered in partnership with EY Ford Rhodes. The underlying message was unmistakable: how AI takes shape is a leadership choice, and we have a responsibility to ensure its benefits reach everyone.

PMIC CEO, Mr. Yasir Ashfaq, reinforced this during the leadership insights session, making the case that the use of AI must evolve from individual experimentation to company-wide strategies. He emphasized leveraging AI not only for efficiency but also for product innovation and revenue generation. At PMIC, we are already embedding this philosophy through regular, structured upskilling, equipping our people to lead the transition with confidence.

Proud to share that PMIC has been awarded 3rd Position – Best Performance Award 2024–25 by the NBFI & Modaraba Association of Pakistan, ranking 3rd among 49 member institutions. The award was presented by Mr. Imtiaz Haider, Commissioner SECP, in the presence of Dr. Mubbashar Hassan, Director SECP, and other distinguished members of the NBFI & Modaraba Association.

PMIC was also honored with a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of its contributions to climate resilience, women’s financial inclusion, youth empowerment, expanding rural financial access, and pioneering capital market initiatives.

A KfW mission comprising Mr. David Kunze – Regional Manager Middle East, Afghanistan & Pakistan, Ms. Andrea Grajcar – Country Director Pakistan, Mr. Sebastian Jacobi – Director Pakistan, and Mr. Asad Farooq – Sr. Sector Specialist visited a Kashf Foundation branch in Islamabad, a valued borrower of PMIC.

The delegation was briefed by PMIC CEO Mr. Yasir Ashfaq and COO Mr. Saqib Siddiqui on PMIC’s role as the apex institution for Pakistan’s microfinance sector, driving innovation and advancing transformative initiatives supported by the German Government to promote financial inclusion and sustainable growth across underserved communities.

Ms. Roshaneh Zafar, Founder & MD Kashf Foundation, and Mr. Shahzad Iqbal, CFO, shared insights into Kashf’s impactful work in transforming lives across Pakistan. The mission also engaged with microfinance clients, hearing firsthand how access to finance has enabled them to grow businesses, diversify incomes, and strengthen their families’ futures.
