Respected Faculty Members, Officers, and Staff,
I am pleased to share that the 9th CUI Senate Meeting was successfully held today under the Chairmanship of the Honorable Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Mr. Khalid Hussain Magsi, Pro-Chancellor CUI.
The Senate today approved several key agenda items, including ratification/approval of the 40th Selection Board decisions. Accordingly, promotions of 178 Tenured Professors, 24 Tenured Associate Professors, 46 Professors, and 66 Associate Professors on OG scale have been endorsed/approved. Additionally, promotions of 11 OG-IV and 30 OG-III non-faculty officers have also been confirmed.
The Senate also approved the CUI Time Scale and Promotion Statutes, and sanctioned a Special Relief Allowance of 15% for Staff Grade Employees and 7.5% for Officer Grade Employees.
The matter of Government BPS scale for CUI employees was also discussed and has been referred to a Senate Sub-committee for further deliberation.
Due to the ardent support of our Senate Members and the leadership provided by the Honorable Minister sahib, I can say with confidence that the Senate was successfully able to steer through a 3 year back log of governance related decisions that were detrimental to the morale and CUI's success in a competitive and rapidly changing world.

مجھے یہ بتاتے ہوئے خوشی ہو رہی ہے کہ کامسیٹس یونیورسٹی اسلام آباد (CUI) کی نویں سینیٹ میٹنگ آج کامیابی کے ساتھ منعقد ہوئی، جس کی صدارت وفاقی وزیر برائے سائنس و ٹیکنالوجی اور پرو چانسلر CUI، جناب خالد حسین مگسی نے کی۔
سینیٹ نے آج متعدد اہم ایجنڈا نکات کی منظوری دی، جن میں 40ویں سلیکشن بورڈ کے فیصلوں کی توثیق/منظوری بھی شامل ہے۔ اس کے مطابق 178 ٹینیورڈ اساتذہ، 24 ٹینیورڈ ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسرز، 46 پروفیسرز اور 66 ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسرز (او جی اسکیل) کی ترقیوں کی توثیق/منظوری دی گئی۔ مزید برآں، 11 او جی-IV اور 30 او جی-III نان فیکلٹی افسران کی ترقیوں کی بھی منظوری دی گئی۔
سینیٹ نے CUI کے ٹائم اسکیل اور پروموشن اسٹیچیوٹس کی بھی منظوری دی، جبکہ اسٹاف گریڈ ملازمین کے لیے 15 فیصد اور آفیسر گریڈ ملازمین کے لیے 7.5 فیصد خصوصی ریلیف الاؤنس کی منظوری بھی دی گئی۔
CUI ملازمین کے لیے حکومتی بی پی ایس اسکیل کے معاملے پر بھی غور کیا گیا، جسے مزید مشاورت کے لیے سینیٹ کی ذیلی کمیٹی کے سپرد کر دیا گیا ہے۔
سینیٹ ممبران کی بھرپور معاونت اور معزز وزیر صاحب کی قیادت کے باعث، میں پورے اعتماد کے ساتھ کہہ سکتا ہوں کہ سینیٹ گزشتہ تین سال کے انتظامی فیصلوں کے بیک لاگ کو مؤثر انداز میں نمٹانے میں کامیاب رہی، جو ادارے کے مورال اور تیزی سے بدلتی مسابقتی دنیا میں CUI کی کامیابی کے لیے نہایت اہم تھا۔
میں اس موقع پر مؤثر طرز حکمرانی اور CUI کی ادارہ جاتی ساکھ کی بحالی کے لیے اپنے عزم کا اعادہ کرتا ہوں، اور آپ سب سے تعاون اور مخلصانہ کاوشوں کی درخواست کرتا ہوں۔ شکریہ۔
