MY FIRST EVER DEATH CLAIM 📝

When I started my career as a financial advisor, I already looked forward to assisting my clients in their future - in their policy requests and processing of their claims. I have seen some stories of my colleague’s clients that they were relieved in a way on the financial assistance brought by their claim.

Little did I know how fate would hand me this kind of reality.
Who would have thought that my first ever Death Claim processing will be the policy of my little brother, John Matthew. We started this investment just last June 2022 to prepare him for his long-term goal. After 8 months, an unimaginable ordeal happened to our family with the passing of our dear Matt, and that it will be his death claim that will mark my first. Our investment goal turned into a death claim.

To my dearest Matt, you are a person who always wanted to help and bring something for the family. And by this, I hope that you’re happy up there though we will always would want to choose to have you here with us. You remind our family how life could be very uncertain. This is an eye opener for all of us and I hope people will realize that too.

Thank you AXA Philippines for making this claim easy and possible.

Three lessons I got from her story.

1. Invest in your Health.
-Eat healthy food (well-balance low-fat food diet with lots of fruits and veggies)
-Drink lots of water. Water is life!
-Get enough sleep (atleast 8 hours a day) -Exercise (be physically active)
-Avoid eating processed food and smoking

2. Invest in Health Insurance.
-Health Insurance Plan covers Medical/Hospital Expenses, if ever tamaan tayo ng sakit despite being careful sa ating food intake, kaya nating labanan ang ating sakit through medication kasi hindi na natin kailangang isipin ang pang gastos because may Health Insurance na sasagot sa ating hospital expenses. We don’t have to sell our properties, drain our savings, ask help from other people just to pay for the hospital bills kasi si health insurance na yung bahala sa payment. Focus nalang tayo sa pagpapagaling.
-Invest in Health insurance while you still can, kasi if may existing sakit na tayo, mahirap ng ma-approve kahit gustuhin man natin.
-Invest while you are still young, ang sakit walang pinipiling edad yan, hence it’s better to be prepared than sorry. Remember, sickness can make us broke.

3. Have a GOD-Centered Life
-Everything that we do, do it for the Greater Glory of God 🙌🏻
-Sometimes nagiging sobrang busy na tayo with our work/business na nakakalimutan na nating maglaan ng oras para kay God. Always remember, everything that we have, it comes from God. We are nothing without Him.
-Deepen your relationship with God. Know Him more, Worship Him, Adore Him because He deserves it.

Lahat ng meron tayo, kayang mawala lahat ng yan in just a snap. Hence, lets take good care of our life kasi iisa lang yan. Once nangyari na, there is no retake. Hindi lahat ng tao nagkakaroon ng chance for a second life kaya alagaan natin ang ating buhay.

I would like to extend my condolences to the bereaved family of Ms. Jelyn Dablo. Rest well in Paradise.
