A steadfast champion for worker's rights and social justice, Commissioner Malonzo’s tenure was marked by a tireless commitment to the welfare of the Filipino workforce, including the most vulnerable ones - the workers in the informal sector. Serving the SSC from 2010 to 2016, his voice was instrumental in shaping sustainable policies for a more equitable and accessible social security system for the labor sector.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and colleagues in this time of grief.

JUST IN | It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of KMFI Chairman Emeritus, Atty. Ibarra “Bong” Malonzo. 🕊️😔

Atty. Malonzo was a pillar of integrity, wisdom, and dedicated service. Throughout his years of leadership, he played a vital role in guiding the organization with vision and unwavering commitment. His contributions have left a lasting impact not only on KMFI but on all who had the privilege of working with him.

His untimely passing is a great loss to the community. He will be remembered for his professionalism, compassion, and steadfast dedication to excellence.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and colleagues during this difficult time. May his legacy continue to inspire us all.
