Did you know that Talisay, Batangas produces 80–85% of all seedlings and saplings in the Philippines? With its numerous plant nurseries and gardens, the town has rightfully earned its title as the 𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙤𝙬𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.
To celebrate this extraordinary feat, the Local Government of Talisay introduced the PunLad Festival — a joyful tribute to the town’s agricultural pride. The word PunLad is derived from “punla sa pag-unlad” or “seed for prosperity,” symbolizing growth, innovation, and progress.
Talisenyos continue to nurture their products with dedication, embracing innovation while honoring tradition — serving not only the people of Batangas, but the entire nation.
