On May 14, 2026, the Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC) once again extended compassion and support to marginalized sectors through Project Lusong 2026. This time, the initiative focused on drivers across Metro Manila, recognizing their continuous sacrifices and hardships amid the persistent increase in fuel prices.

As drivers remain among the most affected sectors by the rising cost of gasoline, many drivers continue to struggle in providing for their families while sustaining their daily operations. In response to these challenges, PAFCPIC distributed 650 rice packs to drivers in Quezon City and Taguig as a simple gesture of assistance.

Several beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to PAFCPIC during the activity. Some drivers shared, “Maraming salamat po,” while others said, “Malaking tulong po ito sa amin,” reflecting how even small acts of kindness can greatly ease the burden of daily living.

Project Lusong continues to uphold its mission of providing supplementary services to vulnerable and marginalized sectors across Luzon. Through compassion, cooperation, and shared responsibility, the initiative aims to bring hope and assistance to communities facing economic and social challenges.

As PAFCPIC carries forward its commitment to service, Project Lusong 2026 serves as another testament that unity and generosity can create meaningful impact in the lives of many—especially for those who keep our communities moving every single day.

PAFCPIC Turns Over Enhanced Covered Court to 403rd Infantry Brigade

MALAYBALAY CITY, BUKIDNON – May 5, 2026 – The Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative and the 403rd Infantry "Peacemaker" Brigade Philippine Army, formally turned over the newly renovated multi-purpose covered court, stage, and comfort rooms, marking the successful conclusion of a collaborative development project.

This milestone follows a structured partnership that began with a site visit in August 2025, followed by the signing of a Project Partnership Agreement (PPA) and a groundbreaking ceremony in October 2025, events that laid the foundation for strengthened civil‑military relations and shared commitment to community progress.

With a total funding of PHP 2,843,627.50, the initiative represents a tangible investment in community empowerment, improved living standards, and closer ties between military personnel and local residents. What started as a shared vision has been transformed into fully functional, high‑quality facilities designed to serve as a central hub for troops, visiting units, and the general public.

Present at the event were BGen. Siegfried C. Tubalado, Acting Commander of the 4th Infantry "DIAMOND" Division (4ID); LTC Eric G. Dema-Ala, GSC (INF) PA, Brigade Commander; Cpt. Agustin T. Ferolino Jr.; and PAFCPIC personnel led by BGen. Fernando S. Zabat.

The upgraded covered court provides a safe, spacious, and versatile venue for sports competitions, youth activities, and large‑scale gatherings. The enhanced stage offers a proper platform for cultural performances, civic programs, and official events, while the renovated comfort rooms ensure proper sanitation and convenience for all users. Collectively, these facilities are expected to foster unity, boost morale, and stand as a lasting symbol of progress in the area.

BGen Siegfred C. Tubalado, Acting Commander of the 4th Infantry “DIAMOND” Division (4ID), expressed deep appreciation for the project’s completion. He conveyed his gratitude, noting the meaningful impact of the upgraded facilities on service members and the surrounding community alike.

In response, BGen Fernando S. Zabat (Ret.), President of PAFCPIC, delivered his message “As we officially hand over this facility, let us remember: this is more than just a structure. It is a space for growth, connection, and unity. PAFCPIC believes our success is measured not only by financial growth but by the positive impact we create in the lives of our members and partner communities. We entrust this facility to the 403rd Infantry Brigade. May you use it well and maintain it as a legacy of cooperation. To the 512th Engineering Construction (Kaagapay) Battalion, thank you for building it with pride.”

With this successful endeavor now realized, both PAFCPIC and the 403rd Infantry Brigade reaffirmed their commitment to sustain their partnership. Both organizations pledged to continue implementing programs that advance development, peace, and prosperity throughout the region.

𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒊, 𝑪𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝑺𝒖𝒓. The Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC) formally turned over completed construction and renovation projects to the Daughters of Mary Mother of the Church Institute’s Mater Ecclesiae Formation Center on April 21, 2026.

Present during the event were Most Rev. Rex Andrew C. Alarcon, DD, Archbishop of Caceres; Rev. Mother Hedelina C. Vitalico, DM, Superior General of the Daughters of Mary Mother of the Church Institute; PAFCPIC personnel led by BGEN Fernando S. Zabat (Ret.); Col. Orlando C. Ramos, GSC (PA), of G7, 9th Infantry Division; LTC Dennis G. Abella, FS (GSC) PA, of the 5th Financial Service Field Office; Atty. Emilio D. Escueta III, Regional Director of the Cooperative Development Authority; and Hon. Mayor Marivic B. Solano, Municipal Mayor of Pili, Camarines Sur.

The completed project includes the construction of an 82-linear-meter, 3.12-meter-high reinforced retaining wall, the building of a new infirmary, and the renovation of the chapel. With a total project cost of PHP 9,372,343.62, the project supports both the spiritual and practical needs of the religious community by providing a safer environment for worship and more localized care for the sisters.

Before the formal turnover, a Holy Mass and Eucharistic celebration was officiated by Archbishop Alarcon, setting a solemn and grateful tone for the occasion. The liturgical gathering underscored the deeper meaning of the project, not merely as a physical development, but as a mission rooted in faith, service, and care for community life.

In her message, Rev. Mother Hedelina C. Vitalico, DM, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the guests of honor and acknowledged the collective efforts of all stakeholders who made the project possible. Her words reflected the joy of a community receiving not just improved structures, but renewed support for its mission and daily life.

Responding to the institute’s message of appreciation, BGEN Fernando S. Zabat (Ret.) emphasized the values behind the undertaking, saying, “𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴; 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘶𝘴. The program then continued with the unveiling of the marker and the symbolic lighting of the infirmary, followed by its blessing, as well as the blessing of the perimeter fence and chapel. The program concluded with a lively gospel song prepared by the Sisters.

The turnover stands as a testament to what can be achieved when institutions come together in a spirit of unity and purpose. It highlights how partnerships among faith communities, government offices, and civic organizations can create lasting impact where it matters most, in places that nurture both human dignity and spiritual growth.

As the new facilities begin serving the sisters and the wider community, this project reminds us that real progress happens when compassion is put into action, bringing care, strength, and hope to everyone it touches.

In a deeply moving reflection, Barangay Captain Julito G. Babida shared the long wait of his community: “Matagal na itong pangarap namin sa Barangay Talenceras. Yung mga matagal nang nangarap para magkaroon ng footbridge ay tumanda, at iba naman ay nabawian na ng buhay, pero ngayon ang tatamasa ng bunga nito ay ang kanilang mga anak. Maraming salamat, PAFCPIC, sa pagtupad ng aming minimithing pangarap.”

On December 16, 2025, the Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC) reached the communities of Sahud Ulan in Tanza, and San Sebastian in Kawit, Cavite through Project Lusong. The cooperative brought hope and warmth to families in need during the Christmas season. Through the collective efforts of dedicated volunteers, 400 grocery packs were distributed to informal settler families, providing much-needed support as they prepared to celebrate the holidays.

Beyond the distribution of essential goods, Project Lusong became a moment of genuine connection among the vulnerable sectors of the community. In a season that reminds us of love, generosity, and compassion, this simple act of giving served as a powerful reminder that no one should ever be left behind.

Project Lusong aims to provide supplementary services to marginalized sectors across Luzon, responding to their immediate needs while upholding dignity and solidarity. This initiative reflects the belief that when communities come together, even the smallest acts of kindness can create meaningful change.

As the year comes to a close, Project Lusong stands as a testament to the true spirit of Christmas—sharing what we have, reaching out to those in need, and lighting hope in the hearts of many. Through continued compassion and collective action, we move closer to a more inclusive and caring society.
