Every January 1, may New Year’s resolution tayo.
“This year, mag-eexercise na ako.”
“This year, magiging consistent na ako.”
“This year, sisimulan ko na talaga.”
Then we try.
Pero kapag naging mahirap, nakakapagod, or hindi agad nakikita ang results, we slowly stop.
“Next year na lang ulit.”
Personally, ganito ako sa exercise. 😆
Ilang beses kong sinabi na mag-eexercise na ako. Pero kapag nahirapan na akong isingit sa schedule or tinamad akong bumangon, next year na lang ulit.
Hanggang sa hindi ko namalayan, five years na pala akong nagsasabing “next year.”
And that’s how it becomes a cycle.
We start. It gets difficult. We stop.
Then we create the same goal again the following year.
Maybe the problem isn’t that we don’t know what to do.

Kasi hindi lahat ng mahirap, sign na mali ang direction mo.
Sometimes, mahirap lang because you’re building a new habit. You’re doing something unfamiliar. You’re becoming someone you haven’t been before.
You can adjust your strategy.
You can start smaller.
You can rest when needed.
But don’t keep abandoning the goal just because the process became uncomfortable.
