⚠️ AKALA MO OKAY KA… HANGGANG NAGKASAKIT.

Busy ka. Kayod lang ng kayod.
Walang nararamdaman, kaya feeling mo — safe ka.

Pero ang totoo…
Hindi lahat ng sakit may warning.
Hindi lahat may sintomas agad.

Isang araw, bigla na lang:
👉 May nakita sa lab test
👉 May naramdaman kang kakaiba
👉 May diagnosis na hindi mo inaasahan

At doon mo marerealize…
Hindi sapat ang “okay ako ngayon.”

💡 Health can change overnight. But preparation? That should start today.

✔️ May ipon ka ba for emergencies?

👉 Message me if you want to start your protection plan.

📊 P500 BILLION… Pero Hindi Pa Rin Enough?

A recent report from the Department of Finance revealed na ang insurance premiums sa Philippines umabot ng higit ₱500 billion in 2025 — isang historic milestone.

👉 Kahit may growth, marami pa ring Filipino families ang uninsured or underinsured

What This Means for You

🛡️ The Real Purpose of Insurance

Maraming nalilito dito.

Akala ng iba, kailangan pumili ng “mas maganda.”

Pero ang totoo?
Magkaiba sila ng purpose.

💡 VUL o "Variable Unit-Linked" (Insurance + Investment)
✔ May insurance ka
✔ May investment component
✔ May chance lumago ang pera mo
❗ Pero: hindi guaranteed ang returns

👉 Best for: Long-term goals (retirement, education, wealth building)

🛡️ Traditional o Term Insurance (e.g. Critical Illness Plan)
✔ Malaki ang coverage (₱1M or more)
✔ Fixed at guaranteed ang benefit
✔ Focus sa protection (lalo na sa sakit)
❗ Pero: walang ipon or investment

👉 Best for: Protection laban sa financial impact ng sakit o pagkawala

⚠️ Common Mistake:
Iniisip ng iba na VUL = investment lang
OR
Insurance = sayang kung hindi magamit

❌ Mali ito.

👉 Insurance is not for “kita”
👉 It’s for protection when life goes wrong

🔥 Smart Strategy (Ginagawa ng Financially Aware):

Hindi sila pumipili ng isa lang.

✔ Protection FIRST (para safe ang pamilya)
✔ Investment NEXT (para mag-grow ang pera)

📌 Simple Reality:

* VUL = Pampalago ng pera
* Traditional Insurance = Panangga sa risk

👉 Magka-partner sila. Hindi magkalaban.

💬 Tanong:

The Biggest Mistake Many OFWs Make With Their Remittances

Every year, overseas Filipinos send home over $36 billion in remittances to the Philippines.

That money supports families, builds homes, and powers a large part of the Philippine economy.

But from a long-term wealth perspective, there’s a pattern that often shows up.

Many OFWs focus almost entirely on spending and property, but very little on income-producing investments.

The typical cycle looks like this:

• Remittances go to daily expenses
• A house gets built or renovated
• Maybe a car is purchased

But very little goes into assets that compound over time.

A house provides security.
But it usually doesn’t produce income.

Cars depreciate.

And when the overseas contract eventually ends, the income stream stops — but the expenses remain.

The real financial advantage of working abroad isn’t just the higher salary.

It’s the opportunity to convert foreign income into long-term assets.

Even setting aside a portion of remittances into investments — whether equities, funds, or other productive assets — can create something powerful over time:

Compounding.

Small, consistent investments over 10–20 years can completely change what life looks like when an OFW eventually returns home.

Working abroad is hard.

But if the income is paired with disciplined investing, it can become more than just temporary income.

It can become long-term financial freedom.

The real question isn’t how much is sent home.

It’s how much of it is being turned into assets that continue working long after the overseas job ends.

We don’t buy insurance because we expect tragedy.
We buy it because we love our family.

Preparation is an act of responsibility.
Protection is an act of love.

🧩 “Mukhang kumpleto… pero may kulang.”

At first glance, this family looks financially prepared:

✔️ Parents – health & retirement
✔️ Kids – education
✔️ Lolo & Lola – estate planning

Pero eto ang madalas nakakalimutan 👇

A truly financially secure family also has:
• Income protection
• Emergency fund
• Controlled debt
• Clear plan when something unexpected happens

💡 Hindi sapat ang may insurance lang.

Kailangan may buong sistema.

📩 Message me if you want to know alin ang dapat unahin base sa sitwasyon mo.

Last May 2024, naoperahan si wife due to ovarian cyst.
It was an ovarian cystectomy...isang surgery na tatanggalin ang bukol sa o***y..

That's so unexpected.
Nakakapraning.

Praise God, successful ang operation

Pero eto na, nung dumating yung bill.

Total Bill: ₱170,613.20
Buti nalang, sabi ng staff:
“Covered po kayo ng PhilHealth.”

Then we saw the bill.
📄 Total Bill: ₱170,613.20
📉 PhilHealth Coverage:
₱13,910.00 - Room for 4 days and Medicines
₱16,380.00 - Professional Fees
₱30,290.00 - Total Philhealth Coverage

Napakamot talaga ako sa ulo.
So I started digging. And here’s what I found. 😮
_____________

𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚: 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚
PhilHealth has a Case Rate system.
Every illness or procedure has a fixed coverage.

For example: (Updated Case Rate from PhilHealth)

• Pneumonia—ranges from ₱29,250 to ₱90,100
• Dengue—ranges from ₱19,500 to ₱47,000
• Cholecystectomy—ranges from ₱20,085 to₱104,130

You can check for the actual case rate sa website nila. (Check comment)

*above mentioned are just examples (It depends on the case rate)
So kung bill mo ₱60,000 at ang case rate ay ₱15,000
That’s the max they’ll cover.
You shoulder the rest.
_____________

PhilHealth isn’t like a typical health card.
You don’t swipe and expect "fully covered".

_____________

𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗧𝗦, 𝗗𝗜 𝗣𝗪𝗘𝗗𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗛𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗚 𝗞𝗔 𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬𝗢𝗡

For employed or voluntary members:
You must have at least 9 months of contributions in the last 12 months before confinement.
Otherwise… sorry.
For senior citizens:
They can be automatic members, but they still need to register & submit docs to be eligible.

_____________

Here's what you can do today:
✅ Check your contributions sa PhilHealth Member Portal.
✅ Kung self-employed or OFW ka, consistently maghulog.
✅ Ask your HR kung updated ang remittance mo.
✅ Prepare a Member Data Record (MDR) and valid ID palagi.

_____________

Don't expect magic coverage. WALANG GANON.
You still need:
• Emergency fund
• HMO (if you can)
• Critical illness or health insurance

_____________

For years, I thought PhilHealth = peace of mind.
Pero now I know: PhilHealth = partial aid lang.

Still thankful… and still humbled.

Let’s share this with others, lalo na yung mga walang HMO or insurance.

Because financial preparedness is not just for saving money...
It’s about protecting your family when it matters most.
We all deserve peace of mind.

God bless sa mga taga-bayad sa Hospital. 🙏
Stay strong!!!
