HISTORY OF MALABING VALLEY MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE
One momentous day in April 1989, a group of young professionals from the component barangays of Malabing Valley met to explore possible actions they can take to accelerate the improvement of the socio-economic conditions in their communities. They perceived the need to form a farmers association, which would serve as development catalyst in th
e valley. The leaders of the Bambang Fruits and Vegetables Growers Cooperative (BFVG-MPCI) assisted the group in educating the potential followers of the cooperative in all the six (6) barangays which include Tadji, Binogawan, Wangal, Capissan, Papaya and Malabing. In September 1989, the core group had the chance to attend the “Trainers Training for Cooperatives” conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute in San Mateo, Isabela.
