When you start earning and paying your own bills, there you will realize how much your parents sacrificed to raise you.
And that's when you realize:
Hindi sapat na marunong kang kumita. Dapat marunong ka ring humawak ng pera.
Financial discipline means knowing when to spend, when to save, and when to say, "Hindi ko muna kailangan 'to."
Kasi kahit gaano kalaki ang sweldo mo, kung lifestyle mo naman ang lumalaki kasabay ng income mo, you will always feel broke.
Maybe that's why parents push us to find better jobs.
Sometimes, they just want to feel relieved knowing that we're building a life where we can stand on our own, handle our responsibilities, and survive without constantly depending on someone else.
They already experienced the struggle.
They don't want us to repeat it.
The goal isn't just to earn more. The goal is to become financially disciplined enough to make that money last, grow, and give you freedom.
Because one day, you'll realize that your parents weren't just raising a child.
They were preparing someone who could survive life without them.
