Always remember that "what goes around, comes around".

Supporting someone in need when you can, especially when such support will not hurt you, is a token that may be cashed in in times of need. Intent to provide support takes conscious effort and awareness, which could be easily blurred by emotions such as intense happiness or overwhelming sadness or uncontrollable anger.

Next time you are in an inconvenient situation and support is nowhere to be found, reflect and see where you missed to give support that you expect to come around. If you did truly good but support is still scarce, find comfort in the idea that karma is around to do your fight. Wait and watch.

As Maya Angelou declared, "People will never forget how you made them feel."

While having lunch or before sleeping, it is my habit to watch Netflix and after 4 installments, I finished "Only We Know". I opted to watch this because I did not want to think or miss any subtitle while eating.

Few minutes to the opening scene is my deal breaker whether or not I would finish a movie and to my surprise, the first scene plunged me into reflection mode right away. The script is rich and well written. The director will place you under palpable tension between the characters, creating a conflicting feeling between anticipation and denial that the actors would eventually fall in love with each other. And they did... on a different plane and the resolution, for me, was the scene in the camp site.

In sum, beautiful movie. Brilliant performance. Really.

This is the first real life civil case I handled, as a law student at that. I asked help from a lawyer-friend, on a contingent fee, but I was ignored. A friend connected me to another lawyer and the latter said yes without me asking twice. We did not even talk about fee at all!!! Good soul.

The condition was, I would do all the paper works for his proofreading, signing and approval. I immediately said yes because it meant learning the ropes. I studied hard from the time complaint was filed up to the time position paper was required. The first draft, each time, was given a green light. I was so happy!!!

Happier is the Decision we received!

This journey taught me a lot of things about life, friendship and our justice system.

When I service all my clients in Sun Life, I maintain the same level of sincerity and quality across the board; regardless of status in life and amount of premium they settle.

Last week, I requested an orphan client to move our scheduled meeting for a policy review the next day as I was feeling under the weather due to a change of eyeglasses. During our meeting, she made a remark on my specs and casually promised to give me a new set, which was 10x of the cost of the one I was using. I was blown away by her generosity! I am so used to giving but not to receiving and being on the other end of the line, I was disoriented.
