Why do we need insurance for our cars?

Last year, through the prodding of a relative who does insurance consultancy, a 2023 Toyota Fortuner got insured.. Group Personal Accident Insurance:

We will never know when an accident might occur. Group Personal Accident (GPA) is designed to provide financial assistance to the insured member and his/her family in the event of death or bodily injury due to accident.

GPA offers the following benefits:

Accidental Death
- Coverage for loss of life.

Accidental Disability
- Pays benefit, as stated in the Schedule of Indemnities, for disability or loss as a result of an injury.

Total Permanent Disability
- Provides the insured member financial care in the event of a total and permanent disability brought upon by an accident. This shall be paid in installment basis.

Accidental Medical Reimbursement
- Coverage, via reimbursement, for medical treatments received relative to an accident.

Daily Hospital Income
- Benefit amount for each day, up to 31 days, of hospital confinement caused by an accident.

Burial Expense
- Assistance to help cover funeral expense for the loss of life due to an accident
