Forbes Just Named the Best Banks in the Philippines for 2026. Here’s the Full List.

Forbes released its 2026 World's Best Banks list, and the results say a lot about where Filipino banking is headed.

Over 54,000 people across 34 countries were surveyed on trustworthiness, fees, customer service, digital tools, and financial advice.

Here is how Philippine banks ranked:
1. MariBank Philippines
2. GoTyme Bank
3. Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI)
4. UnionBank Philippines
5. Maya Bank
6. Metrobank
7. LANDBANK
8. Philippine National Bank (PNB)

The biggest story here is the continued rise of digital banks. GoTyme at #2 and Maya at #5 — both are banks you can open entirely on your phone, earn high interest on your savings, and use for everyday transactions.

According to Forbes, trustworthiness was the most important factor for banking customers worldwide, followed by digital services and customer service.

But remember: the best bank is not always the biggest bank. It is the one that works hardest for your money. And based on this list, digital banks are clearly earning that trust.
