Katax ETM raised issues and concerns regarding BIR Form no. 1701 to the Office of the President of the Philippines-Legal Affairs then they indorsed to the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

On October 6, 2014 Katax ETM received a reply from the BIR regarding the issues he raised.

ETM TAO is discouraging all RDOs and his/her staff to spread a wrong information stating that there is no need to fill up the supplemental information stated either in 1700, 1701 and 1702 (Nov 2011 Version).
Please inform ETM TAO office the BIR Officials spearheading the misinformation and disobedience to the laws of the State so that appropriate legal actions shall be instituted without further notice. Please sent this to your suppliers, customers and friends so that 25,000 peso penalty for failure to supply required information could be avoided
