We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you of the proper handling and communication when dealing with flooded vehicle claims:

1. Do not to start the engine or drive their flooded vehicle - this can cause further damage and may affect claim assessment
2. Ensure prompt claim reporting - claim should be reported as soon as possible, along with photos or videos showing the extent of the damage (should note the water level inside the vehicle)
3. Inform our clients about their policy coverage - check if their policy includes Acts of Nature coverage
4.Coordinate with our claims team - for any assistance or clarification, you may reach out to our team or to claims department directly to ensure proper guidance.

Compulsory Third Party Liability (CTPL) is a type of mandatory insurance coverage required by law for all motor vehicle owners.

It covers bodily injury or death caused to a third party (i.e., someone other than the driver or the car owner) due to an accident involving the insured vehicle.

🔹 Key Features:
• Mandatory by Law: You can’t register or renew a vehicle’s registration without it.
• Covers Third Parties Only: This means pedestrians, passengers (in some cases), or occupants of another vehicle. It does not cover the driver or damages to the insured vehicle.
• Limited Coverage: The amount is usually capped, often enough to cover basic hospital or funeral expenses.
• No-Fault Coverage: In some jurisdictions, CTPL pays out regardless of who is at fault in the accident.

🔹 What It Doesn’t Cover:
• Damage to your own vehicle
• Injuries to the driver
• Theft, vandalism, or natural disasters
• Legal liability beyond the basic coverage limits
