METRO MANILA GETS 3-DAY HOLIDAY FOR ASEAN SUMMIT

JUST IN: Malacañang has declared November 16 to 18, 2026 as special non-working days in the National Capital Region as the Philippines hosts the 49th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.

ASEAN leaders and other world leaders are expected to attend, with US President Donald Trump among those whose participation remains unconfirmed. The proclamation said the holiday aims to ease traffic and ensure the safety of summit participants.
