PENSYONADO OR TENSYONADO?
You choose!
Many of us are not really realizing the importance of preparing for retirement. According to an article published by Manila Times in 2019, Filipino investors only have an average personal income equivalent of 3.6 months which is set aside for retirement. This means that a typical Filipino retiree is struggling to have ends meet daily. This is the WORST in Asia! Taiwan leads the survey with personal income equivalent of 4.5 years while the average for the whole Asia is 2.9 years. The difference is very huge.
Moreover, according to the survey, a staggering 84% of Filipinos are looking into continuing working after retirement. This is the sad reality of retirement here in the Philippines.
Ask yourself. Observe and ask the elderly you know who has just retired.
We can confidently say that majority of retirees are in regret because they have not planned or even thought of their retirement.
Can you imagine yourself still working past 60 years old? IF NOT, now is the time to start thinking and planning about your retirement
