Dole Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative

Dole Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative Dole Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative was established in 1965. or DECCU. The cooperative’s name has undergone many changes over the years.

It was in 1965 when 30 Dolefil employees founded Dolefil Employees Cooperative Credit Union, Inc. Having pooled in P300.00 total paid up and working capital, the cooperative’s business was then limited to providing loan services to its members. But with honest governance of the officers and staff, earnestness of the members, and full support of Dole Philippines, Inc., the cooperative grew into one

of the most successful cooperatives in the country. The name Dole Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative as we now know it was registered in 2014 when the cooperative started to welcome community-based members. Several recognitions were also bestowed to the cooperative: being the Century Cooperative in 1998, No. 1 Millionaire Cooperative in Region XII in 2011, and in 2022 the Most Outstanding Cooperative in Region XII. Registered under RA 6938 or the Cooperative Code of the Philippines and as amended by RA 9520 or the Cooperative Code of 2008, DCo MPC is now a primary, non-agricultural, and multi-purpose cooperative whose business has grown from loan services, to pawnshop services, and recently in job contracting services. Our membership has reached Regions XII, XI, X, BARMM, and NCR where Dole Sunshine Company operates. From the original 30 members, DCo MPC has now 12,000 members and counting. From P300 working capital, the cooperative is now aiming to be one of the billionaire cooperatives in the country. DCo MPC has its fair share of successes and challenges, yet it remains undaunted. It continues to serve all its members, propelling the cooperative’s businesses to greater heights, while keeping in mind the mantra “Service Above Profit.” The combination of responsible officers sourced from committed members and of dedicated staff may have been the secret ingredient of the success of the DCo MPC. The rich history and growth of DCo MPC has put forward a good brand for the Cooperative. It now stands as a sturdy backbone to address the financial needs of the members as well as the Dole Community.
