DA-RFO 5, SAN AGUSTIN, Pili โ CamSur Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CamSurMPC) received multiple recognitions during the Regional GAWAD SAKA Awarding Ceremony held on August 27, 2026, at the Regional Rice Training & Convention Center, Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office V (DA RFO V) Compound.
The annual awarding ceremony honored the regional winners of the 2025 and 2026 GAWAD SAKA Search, recognizing outstanding individuals, organizations, institutions, and partners for their significant contributions to the advancement of the agriculture and fisheries sector in the Bicol Region.
The program opened with remarks from Lorenzo L. Alvina, Regional Technical Director (RTD) for Research and Regulations, who emphasized the importance of recognizing the accomplishments and contributions of stakeholders in strengthening the regionโs agriculture and fisheries sector.
CamSurMPC was declared a regional winner in the following categories:
1. Outstanding Small Farmer/Fisherfolk Organization
2. Outstanding KADIWA ng Pangulo Program โ Agri-Fisheries Enterprise Category
3. Outstanding KADIWA ng Pangulo Program โ Agri-Fisheries Enterprise Category
4. Outstanding Partner Rural Institution โ Non-Bank
These recognitions highlights the Cooperativeโs continuing efforts to support farmers and fisherfolk, promote agri-fisheries enterprises, provide market opportunities, and strengthen partnerships that contribute to sustainable rural development.
Adding significance to the occasion, CamSurMPC Chief Executive Officer Ms. Annielen Panerio, together with other officials of the Regional Agricultural and Fisheries Council (RAFC), took her oath as the elected Chairperson for the Rice Sector. The new role further strengthens the representation of the rice sector in regional agricultural discussions and initiatives.
The awarding ceremony was attended by CEO Annielen Panerio, BOD Chairperson Eudeza Racadag, BOD Vice-Chairperson Ernesto Abragan and Marketing Officer Allan Bernas, together with fellow awardees, government officials, agricultural stakeholders and partner organizations.
The program concluded with closing remarks from Alvin J. Milan, Chief of MES/REO/GAD and GAWAD SAKA Focal Person, who recognized the collective efforts of the awardees and stakeholders in advancing agriculture and fisheries development in the region.
The GAWAD SAKA recognition serves as an inspiration for CamSurMPC to continue its commitment to empowering farmers and fisherfolk, strengthening agricultural enterprises, and creating meaningful opportunities for its members and communities in the Bicol Region.
