Show up when it's hard. Show up when it's messy. Show up when no one's watching. Show up when you don't feel like it. Show up when the rewards are uncertain. Just show up. You can never bet against the person who just keeps showing up

Life lessons from the Woman of Steel, Alice Eduardo. 💡

1. Always be grateful.

- before she goes to work, she prays and after work, she prays.

2. No one is above you and no one is below you. Everyone is equal.

- Jusko pati table nya round daw because she wants everyone to feel na pantay pantay lang lahat.

3. Say yes to opportunities even if you don't know how to do it. Aralin mo nalang later.

- she makes things happen. Wala sa vocabulary nya ang " hindi kaya"

- she doesn't make excuses, kahit walang pera, yes lang ng yes 😆

Balanced life is key ❤

5. Trust is the currency of business.

- if people don't trust you, why would they buy from you?

6. She always thinks how other people can benefit from what she does than what she can get from it. Grabe sa generosity tong babaeng to! ❤

7. Always be humble.

Naiyak ako when she said these words " I am just an ordinary woman given with extra ordinary opportunities, bakit ako magyayabang?" For her, everyone is equal. ❤

Sobrang mangha ako sa babaeng ito! She is not wealthy , she is ABUNDANT!

Why You Think So Differently:

1. Baby Boomers (1946-1964): "Work hard, stay loyal, the system will reward you." Built the system... now watching it crumble.

2. Gen X (1965-1980): "Trust no one. Figure it out yourself." The forgotten generation but the backbone of change.

3. Millennials (1981-1996): "Find purpose.
Break the 9-to-5." Burnt out from chasing dreams and paying rent.

4. Gen Z (1997-2012): "Question everything.
Mental health over hustle." Raised online.
Fighting for peace in a noisy world.

5. Gen Alpha (2013-Present): "Born digital.
Raised by screens." The first generation with Al as a sibling.

From 20 Pesos to a Billion-Dollar Empire — The John Gokongwei Story
Before he became one of the richest men in the Philippines,
John Gokongwei Jr. was just a teenage boy who lost everything.
At 13, his father died suddenly — leaving his family bankrupt and homeless.
The mansion was gone.
The cars were gone.
Even their family business collapsed overnight.
He had two choices: give up… or grind.
He chose to grind.
With only ₱20 pesos and a bicycle, he sold peanuts, soap, and candles in the streets of Cebu.
Every day, he rode for hours, sweating under the sun — just to earn a few centavos.
But he never complained.
He just kept going.
That same boy who once sold goods on a bike…
Would later build JG Summit Holdings — the parent company of Cebu Pacific, Robinsons, URC (Jack ‘n Jill), and more.
From 20 pesos… to a billion-dollar legacy.
John Gokongwei didn’t just build businesses —
he built himself through struggle.
He proved that:
Your starting point doesn’t define your ending.
You can lose everything, but if you keep your mindset strong, you’ll recover it all — and more.
Don’t wish for easier days, build stronger grit.
Because the truth is, success doesn’t happen in comfort.
It happens when you refuse to quit.
“I’m not afraid to fail. I’m afraid not to try.”
— John Gokongwei Jr.

Here's why:

Nag invest sila ng $100M to refresh the brand.

but this is more than rebranding,

It's more of a business decision.

Dunkin' wanted to shift away from just donuts,

pero syempre nag bebenta parin sila nun.

They wanted to gear towards coffee and other offers ☕️

Infact binawasan nila ang donut flavors, at nagdagdag ng more coffee and drinks as options.

THEY WANT TO COMPETE WITH STARBUCKS!

Also, people are more health conscious these days 🥗

and when you think about Donuts, ang maiisip mo matamis. 🐜

Sugar = Unhealthy! ❌

That's why they offer sandwiches nadin. 🥪

If a very succesful 70-year old Multi Billion Dollar company is trying to reinvent itself.

Kaya din natin! 💪

Kaya wag mong sabihin na:

❎ "40 years old na ako eh."
❎ "20+ years na akong accountant."
❎ "Banker na ako all my life."
❎ "Ito na ang course ko eh."

You can always reinvent yourself kung gugustuhin mo. 💯

At a college reunion, a group of successful alumni—now doctors, lawyers, business owners—decided to visit their old professor. They chatted about their careers and families, but soon the conversation shifted to life’s pressures, stress, and constant chasing after more.

After listening for a while, the professor smiled and said, “Hold on a minute. I’ll go make us some coffee.”

He came back with a large pot and a tray full of cups—none of them matching. Some were fine porcelain, others were plain ceramic, a few were chipped glass mugs, and one even looked like it came from a diner.

As everyone reached for a cup, the professor watched in silence. Once they all had coffee in hand, he said:

“Notice what just happened. Most of you instinctively reached for the nicest cups—leaving behind the simpler ones. It’s normal to want the best for ourselves, but that’s often where the stress begins.”

He gestured toward the cups.

“The cup doesn’t make the coffee taste any better. What you really wanted was the coffee. But you still focused on the cup.”

Then he paused.

“Life is the coffee. Your job, your house, your income, your status—those are just cups. They help contain life, but they don’t define it. And the trouble is, the more we focus on the cup, the more we miss out on the coffee.”

He smiled.

“Remember, happy people don’t always have the best of everything. But they know how to make the best of what they have.”

If meron ka nito, anong gagawin mo?

Syempre, di mo sasayangin at iwi withdraw agad everyday, diba?

It's called "𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘".

Every morning of your life, meron kang 86,400 seconds for you to utilize.
Every night, nawawala yung balance.

𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘆.
That is a very special bank account na pinahiram sa atin 🤍.
