LAST QUARTER,
STRONGER FINISH:
Don’t Wait for January
What if your
"Happy New Year”
could begin 3 months
before January 1?
This was our discussion today
on my Radyo Veritas
Katok Tahanan program,
in the Armado Ka! segment:
the last quarter is not just
the end of the year.
It can be your financial reset.
Do not spend October
regretting January to September.
Recalculate.
LOOK BACK.
Where did your money go? If you earn ₱60,000 a month but save nothing, check the numbers before saying, “I need a higher income.”
CLEAN UP.
Cancel what you no longer use. Reduce unnecessary shopping. Pay down debt. Practice minimalism: own less, waste less, need less.
BUILD UP.
Rebuild your emergency fund. Save ₱3,000 monthly from October to December and you enter 2027 with ₱9,000 more protection. If expenses are tight, do not just cut—find ways to earn more through a skill, sideline or small business.
LOOK FORWARD.
Give your future a vote in today’s money. A ₱30,000 bonus need not become ₱30,000 of Christmas spending. Part can celebrate today; part can reduce debt, build savings or invest for tomorrow.
This is where
SACRIFICE matters.
Hardship is difficulty
that circumstances
may force on us.
Sacrifice is different:
willingly giving up something
we can have today
for something
more important tomorrow.
You may afford a new phone-
but choose to keep
the old one and
build your emergency fund. That is not deprivation.
That is purpose.
“Less display,
more financial peace.
Less for show,
more room to grow.”
A real Happy New Year
does not require
becoming rich
by December 31.
Enter 2027 with less debt,
more savings, better habits,
clearer goals and peace.
Before asking God
for more blessings,
ask: “How well am I
managing what He has
already entrusted to me?”
What will you
STOP, SUSTAIN and START
this last quarter?
Tell me in the comments,
then share this with someone
who should not wait
for January.
Finish strong. Start stronger.
Live PERAKTIKAL.
Better Thrive.
