Rolly has been downgraded to a typhoon, as another weather disturbance, Siony, enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility. We are devastated with the effects of Rolly in the provinces, and we fervently hope no more casualties are experienced anywhere in the country. Make sure to tune in to your local government's announcements and reminders. Keep safe everyone!

PAGASA said Siony is less likely to affect any portion of the country over the next two to three days.

As we commemorate the 75th anniversary of the United Nations, we are reminded that we all belong to a global community built on the foundation of peace, cooperation, and nation building.

In our own families and communities, we strive to enhance ourselves while lifting each and everyone around us, recognizing our differences and unique positions in life. With a global challenge such as the Covid19 pandemic, we remember that while we can accomplish a lot on our own, together, united, we can do so much more.

The Butte County sheriff announced the deaths of three people Wednesday as fires continue to rage through a region already devastated by the Camp fire two years earlier.
