Six Ethics of Life that we should practice to attain the good life that we all desire.
Before we pray we should believe in him first. Before you speak why don't try to listen first. Before you spend you must earn first.
Just like the number two you must think first before you write as this may affect many people around you.
Before you quit try all possible actions.
And lastly Before you die, live a happy life remove all the toxicity in life to attain a good life.

Choose wisely where to leave your money.

1. Putting ALL their money in the bank and let it hang there with a very small interest which can't even keep up with inflation;

2. Buying a lot of properties which they want to pass on to their heirs when they die, not realizing that their heirs wont be able to get it unless they pay for the estate tax (6% of the total value of the property);

3. Putting ALL their money to stock market, not realizing that this is also subject to estate tax;

4. Just depending on their company's health benefits as if they will be an employee forever.

But here are the realities of life:

1. Insurance nowadays can be enjoyed even when you are still alive (for retirement purposes);

2. One cannot escape these two things: DEATH AND TAXES

3. YOU DON'T WANT TO BE AN EMPLOYEE FOREVER. Sooner or later you also want to retire comfortably;

4. Illness, be it minor or critical, normally comes when you are old and can no longer provide for yourself.

5. Sooner or later your kids will go to college and you would want them to go to the best school.

6. SINANAY MO ANG PAMILYA MO SA GANYANG LIFESTYLE BUWAN BUWAN, do you expect them to immediately adjust to a lifestyle that they are not used to if you are gone?

So guys, if you can only promise all the financial advisors these three things:
1. YOU WON'T GET OLD
2. YOU WON'T GET SICK
3. YOU WON'T DIE

YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE MISSING. Financial advisors can always get another believer and turn them into a client, but you can NEVER GET ANOTHER INSURANCE if you are already sick or if you are already dead.

The Journey to Investing

Are you Mr. Practical Thinker OR Mr. Extensive Spender? Read about the story of two best friends who decided to take on the journey of investing.

Mr. Practical Thinker and Mr. Extensive Spender have been best friends since childhood. As best friends, they shared a love for travelling. The two even made a bucket list of the places they wanted to visit. London was at the top of their list.

After graduating from college, the two began earning their own money. They would travel every two years, crossing out an item in their bucket list.

When they reached 30, Mr. Practical Thinker realized that not much was happening to his earnings. He decided to start investing Php 20,000.00 annually for the next ten years. Meanwhile, Mr. Extensive Spender simply kept her money in the bank.

Soon, the consequences of their different approaches to growing their money became evident. On a trip to Thailand, Mr. Extensive Spender had to borrow money from his sister while Mr. Practical Thinker used the gains from his investments to fund her trip. Embarrassed by what happened, Mr. Extensive Spender realized that he could no longer depend solely on his salary to cover all of his expenses.

And so Mr. Extensive Spender finally started investing. He decided to invest Php 50,000.00 annually and continued to do so for the next ten years. Meanwhile, Mr. Practical Thinker made his last annual payment.

With both gentlemen now practicing the habit of saving and investing for the future, they are more than ready to make their dreams come true. After a decade of investing, Mr. Extensive Spender finally went to London with Mr. Practical Thinker. But they were not at the same place financially. Mr. Practical Thinker was able to complete their bucket list with ease. In fact, Mr. Extensive Spender ended up investing more and receiving a lower return compared to Mr. Practical Thinker. How is this so?

Assuming we take Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) since inception of 11.57% of the Sun Life of Canada Prosperity Balanced Fund*, how much will each of their investment be? Let's take a good look at the figures below.

The Sun MaxiLink Prime is a peso denominated variable life insurance plan (VUL) that provides financial protection PLUS a potential source of savings that can fund future needs like retirement income through its investment earnings. There are 5 funds to choose from where your premium payments will be invested in. These funds are managed actively and prudently by our top-notch investment professionals.

Sun MaxiLink Prime is payable for at least 10 years*

How Much is Sun Maxilink Prime?

The cost of Sun Maxilink Prime greatly depends on your desired insurance coverage and your current age. Normally, the quotation will reflect Benefit Amount. The death benefit is actually 200% of the benefit amount so for a P350,000 benefit amount, the insurance coverage is P700,000.

The minimum available plan for Sun Maxilink Prime is P350,000 benefit amount or an insurance coverage is P700,000. Meaning, in case of death of the insured, P700,000 will be the amount your beneficiaries will receive. How much is that? For a 20 year old male non smoker, that’s around P19,000 per year or something like P1,600 per month. For a 30 year old male, around P21,000- P22,000 per year or P1,800 per month.

Most likely, you’d want a bigger insurance coverage especially if you’re the breadwinner of the family or you have people depending on your income. Say you want a P2 Million insurance coverage, how much will that be?

Male 30 years old, non smoker with an insurance coverage of P2 Million – around P60,000 per year or P5,000 per month.

Female 30 years old, non smoker – around P55,000 per year or P4,600 per month.

Insurance Benefit

P1Million Insurance coverage will be received by my beneficiaries (death coverage is 200% of the face/benefit amount)P1.5Million in total in case of Accidental Death (additional P500,000) – (ADB Rider)Waiver of payment in case of Total Disablement (TDB rider)P1,000 per day Hospital Income (HIB Rider) for a minimum of 3 days confinement

Living Benefit at 10% per annum assumption – (money you can withdraw after certain years)

After 10 years – P357k or After 20 years – P892k or After 35 years (age 65) – P3.58Million

Other optional rider (depends on which country you’re working)

Accidental Death, Dismemberment and Disablement (payment up to 100% of face amount in case of loss of certain body parts like hand, foot, finger, eyesight etc) Critical Illness BenefitHospital Income BenefitWaiver of Premium upon death of initial owner (if the life insured is a child) Waiver of Premium upon death or disability of initial owner (if the life insured is a child)

And if you live too long, (grow old up to age 75-80 hopefully), You can then enjoy the fund value of more than P3.58Million (projection at age 65 10%). Not bad di ba?

Also, in case of emergencies, You are allowed to make partial withdrawal on the fund value without any interest or whatsoever. It’s my money anyway. As long as the fund value does not equal to zero, the insurance is still in-forced

Ikaw ba insured na? Get a sample proposal if you don’t have any form of insurance yet. Aside from Insurance inquiry you can get a free financial lectures.

7 Bright Choices you can make today for a brighter tomorrow

Start your journey to a brighter life today. Here are seven easy steps for a bright and prosperous future

1. Set goals
Setting clear goals is the first step to motivating and guiding yourself towards your objective. In case your objective requires some funding like a travel goal for example, goal-setting will inspire you to save up and be more conscious with your spending because it is backed by purpose.

2. Save wisely
Saving up requires you to assess the necessities, prioritize them over your wants, and choose to spend on what really matters in order to lessen your expenses and find that you have more money. It involves discipline to save money but when done consistently, it will help you keep on track with achieving your goals by helping you build a cash reserve.

3. Build an emergency fund
Building an emergency fund equivalent to at least 3 times your monthly expenses helps you survive financially in times of sickness or natural calamities

4. Get insured
Getting life insurance cushions you against life’s unforeseen risks and secures the future income of your loved ones in case something happens to you.

5. Beat inflation
Preserve the purchasing power of your money by exploring other financial instruments where your money earns more than inflation and can even help you achieve your goals faster.

6. Seek professional help
Getting professional advice ensures that you decide on important money decisions fully aware of your options.
