God never fails.
Let me say it plainlyāmoney isnāt the problem. But the love of money? Thatās where we often get into trouble. When we fall in love with money, weāre willing to do almost anything for itāeven foolish things.
Iāve seen it time and again: someone already has a perfectly working car, but they still take out a loan just to drive something shinier. Or they chase after some āinvestment opportunityā promising unrealistic returns, only to end up in regret. Why? Because thereās this gnawing feeling of dissatisfaction that no gadget, brand, or number in a bank account can fix.
But Scripture reminds us that there is a better way.
Take Moses. He had access to everythingāpower, wealth, status. Raised in the palace of Pharaoh, he couldāve chosen the easy, comfortable life. But he didnāt. Hebrews 11:26 tells us, āHe considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward.ā Moses chose obedience over opulence. He gave up riches to walk with Godāand that made all the difference.
Friends, money and possessions can serve a purpose, but they will never fill the God-shaped space in our lives. The new becomes old. The thrill fades. But God never fails. He never changes. He never leaves.
So instead of chasing what wonāt last, letās pursue what truly matters. Work with diligence. Live within your means. Avoid unnecessary debt. Spend time with your family. Be faithful with what you have. And most of all, follow where God is leading you.
Because in the end, contentment isnāt found in having moreāitās found in trusting the One who never fails.
